Doesn't it depend on what a person likes? I would be bored to tears just going to a park to walk around when there is so much history around! If I don't live there (in a big city), why would I need to go to a park? I can get all the nature and greenery I need when I go back home!

"Largest collection of stolen artifacts" translates to "most of these nations can't afford/haven't the expertise to maintain artifacts from the colonial days". Imagine if the Japanese decided to come for all the swords taken as spoils of war and went picking through America to find them...? You have some really solid content, just be careful not to throw opinions into it :) Subbed, great work otherwise.

I like Big Ben (yes I do know that it's not the correct name but I just find Big Ben to be such a cooler name than "Elizabeth Tower"... ). But hell is that entire area crowded. The only place that have found to be even worse was Borough Market, where I got panic attacks
from all that super loud american tourist hordes...
But I was at westminster pier very early in the morning and it's much nicer then, purely magical. And I also loved to cycle over westminster bridge coming from the south, you just ride by all the crowds. Victoria embankment is also very nice for riding towards Big Ben.
That was my highlight: cycling over the bridges (except Tower Bridge which was a nightmare...) and see all the attractions from the bridge.
I also liked the river thames boat tour from westminster to Greenwhich. There I visited the Cutty Sark museum.
As of parks, I visited Regent's Park multiple times but honestly, I will never understand why they allow cars in the park and why they built this ugly extension of Euston Rd right through the park...but the alleys that go through the park (not the outer/inner circle), and where you are allowed to cycle (at max 5 km/h) are actually very nice. But my favourite was hampstead heath/parliament hills, such a gorgous view onto the city!
The tower bridge itself is beautiful but the area has an incredible amount of cars and tourists.
I didn't find Buckingham Pce. particuarly interesting, just millions of tourists and the building isn't that great either...
I visited the British Museum - I was lucky that by accident I walked by and there was almost no queue. In theory it's free, but limited walk-in capacitiy and the web page for admission greets you with "your estimated wait time is....3 weeks....".
Inside, the museum building is simply stunning with how the lights look and how they arranged everything. Really really great, and a very nice museum shop too.

Afternoon tea at the Shard has a lovely Peter Pn theme. The sandwiches are varied and all very tasty. As are scones and little cakes.

Major con of British Museum are the crowds. You just can't fully take in the views of the stolen artifacts, it's like a fast-food exhibition of whatever stuff they found around the globe. I would recommend the Royal Art & History museum in Brussels, it's not very expensive and it's really huge, and few people seem to even know about it.
Passed by Buckingham palace, took a few looks, and fled as the crowd was building up before the changing of the guard.

For me, visiting the British Museum was the best part of my trip to London. In the country where I live, I don't have the opportunity to see so much history from so many remote places in one place and for free. I know that many of the pieces are stolen, but it's truly the only visit I would repeat if I return to London.

Do hyde park in 30 minutes max on sunrise with an ecycle like she said or maybe even skip it. But do regents park and st James park instead.

Skip Tate modern and go to British museum on a Friday. Make sure you reach at 10am sharp and take the free tours.

Skip/skim through the science museum and spend your time in the natural history museum unless you have kids. The science museum , v&a and natural history can all be done in a day if you reach sharp at 10am. They're all adjacent in one street. Spend much much more time in the British museum instead if you're an adult.
I did not do imperial war museum so do not know about it.

Hostels have very well equipped kitchen, just carry cumin and maybe some coriander.

Leicester Square is worth a visit. Not a long one but definitely walk through it.

Walk the financial district -the mix of old and new, the protected alleyways (some seperating skyscrapers), the covered markets and hidden gems, the ruined. overgrown churches is an architectural dream. Simultaneously the oldest and newest part of the city, nowhere on earth like it.
