That is a huge shock right there! Michael Cole being a commentator for 28 years? That is awesome! I believe I remember him being one of the side commentators along with Jim Ross and Kevin Kelly in Monday night raw back in 1997. I also remember Michael Cole hosting the Saturday morning wrestling highlights show WWE‘s live wire back in 1997 as well. My absolute favorite episode in that series was when they were showing highlights of Monday night raw. I believe on 23 December 1997 and he was talking about that tragic moment where the undertaker got brutally assaulted by his brother Kane and he refused to fight back even though he made one move on him briefly.

3:50 you, Cole, the voice of wwe for the past 28 years?! 😅 give me a break. 28 years ago 🤔, that would be 1996. Weren't Jim Ross and King here at the time? You know, JR and King, the people Cole will never live up to. Cole started being the voice of wwe in 2008 after Vince and Kevin Dunn made the mistake of sepearating King and JR on Raw. Cole was always the guy playing second fiddle to King and JR. And during that time, you could just tell that Cole really envied JR. And so because Cole was always the company's biggest suck up, he finally got the gig he wanted but never deserved in 2008. The irony now is that with Vince and Kevin dunne now out of wwe, Cole has turned his back on everything he knows they appreciated in a commentator. He is continuing with being a suck up, and now completely goes against every unwritten rule that a play by play commentator should follow in wwe. He does this in order to shamelessly please his new bosses, HHH (the attention seeker), Paul Heyman (unofficial boss, but boss still) and Nick Khan. Goes to show that you shouldn't be duped by a glad handing company suck up like Cole, and that you should stick to talented individuals who will tell you the truth when you need to hear it, like JR and King.
