I personally am not a fan of fast played footage I get it makes things easier but watching it makes me sick so those are some moments I will only listen actually having a bad time with the Kanto gyms before Blue nice not gonna lie the massive skip I always am like how easy is it actually in solo runs and is it always easy

I think the next time you do a shedinja run you have to name it doduo now. Also legit id be fine with you just hacking your starter with the evs when you start to make it so you dont have to do this grind every time. You've proven you can do it.

0:47 anyone ever wondered why they even bothered giving shedinja base stats in its defenses? No matter how high your defense is minimum damage is always going to be 1.. Feels like wasted points that could’ve gone elsewhere

What a wild run that was. Good on MDB for persevering through this madness.
I thought facing so many Gyarados would have made this run impossible (Intimidate, on a Pokemon with only decent Attack that has to win quickly... terrible combination), but he ended up with one of the only times he actually defeated Red. Bravo.

For anyone insane enough to try this for themselves: Shedinja can learn Dig. You can find the TM at National Park, and can buy it again at Celadon Department Store. Might help with Jasmine or Blaine.
And Heart Scales can be found with Rock Smash, in case you need to relearn something.

Maybe a first that Blue was tougher than Red? Btw: Which fossil did you take? Also: can you beat Pokemon X/Y with one Noibat?

What fossil did you take? I hear that the sail fossil is great, smoochum could likely bee a strong contender for the team. For once you don't need to get food in you right after the voice over, good to hear that. (I'm also having fun with the wrong challenge description being shown in the beginning, or this is a very odd looking doduo)

Hey man big fan of the channel, here’s an idea for a challenge.
Can I beat pokemon heart gold with only Shedinja AND it has to know both of the Conversion moves throughout the whole run. In theory, you will have wonder guard but you will also then have to strategise around when to use the conversion moves to change your typing. I’ve been watching pokemon challenge videos for the past 8-years and I’m yet to see anything like this (exactly). Ofcause it would have to be done via GameShark codes ect. In order to create such a move set. Would be interesting to see if it’s a more difficult run than this one.

prediction is that snorlax is basically unbreakable, i think it has crunch or something and definitely isn't even a two-hit KO

I'd like to see you do a full team of all Smeargle. Terrible stats, but literally any move you can find in the game with Sketch. I think that could be really interesting.

If you do a Gyarados solo run in Pokémon X, here's a name suggestion, you should name it Eaunix. Eau is French for water and it's pronounced pretty much exactly as the letter O.

MDB, you should do a Heartgold Stone Evolutions Only Run. The evolution stones are infamously a pain in the ass to get in Johto, but in Heartgold it's actually a little different. You can get a Moon Stone in the Ruins of Alph and renewable Sun Stones by Thursday by winning the Bug Catching Contest, sure, but in Heartgold you can get the Fire Stone, Water Stone, Thunder Stone, and Leaf Stone in Johto through the Pokeathelon. The neat part, and the core issue of the challenge, is that it's a race against time since they're only available on certain days of the week, giving this run a unique dynamic. If you beat Lance by Thursday and get the National Dex from Professor Oak you can get a Shiny Stone and Dusk Stone in the Pokeathelon too (though you can get a Dusk Stone in Cerulean Cave after beating Blue).

You would have an EXTREMELY diverse pool of Pokemon to use in this run. Nidoking/Nidoqueen (who get Toxic Spikes in Gen 4, allowing you to use an entry hazard), Clefable/Wigglytuff if you're willing to go to the Safari Zone in Johto, Sunflora, Bellosome, Vileplume, Victreebell, Exeggutor, Arcanine, Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Poliwrath, Cloyster, Starmie, Honchkrow (Murkrow's in Johto's Safari Zone), Mismagius, and Togekiss. And you can find Bellsprout early enough it can be your starter without the randomizer. That's EIGHTEEN Pokemon and THIRTEEN types to choose from. Your team can be great, for once you'll actually be able to beat Red in Heartgold, but you'll need to consider when you can actually get the stones and what stones are even usable when deciding your team. Honchkrow is a BEAST, but is it worth dealing with Murkrow for all of Johto when Misdreavus is actually usable there? Vaporeon's absolutely a monster, but you can get other good water types while Jolteon is your only electric type in Johto so is it REALLY worth that opportunity cost? If you don't choose one of the Nidos, Jolteon's Volt Absorb makes it the only hard counter to Red's Light Ball amped Pikachu.

"Can I Beat Pokemon Heart Gold with ONLY Stone Evolutions" would be one of the most unique runs on the channel, the challenge not being in the Pokemon you end up using, but instead in actually being able to assembling the team you want.
