Jordan is correct. Clubs can sack managers and coaches but they can't walk away from the contracts they signed. Managers however it seems can. The compensation paid by the managers' new clubs, £10m or normally much less, is negligible to the cost of renewing the squad for a new manager.

I said from the get go that Edwards was the wrong appointment- what we don’t know is what information the owners had that caused them to change their minds about running with Edwards. Edwards really failed to turn the program around - we never looked like pulling out of the nose dive we were in. Also, When Edwards dropped back down in to the Championship with Luton , he got fired as they went into League One. He quite simply had no evidence that he could prevent a complete free fall . Now I am also suspicious of Fosuns long term ability to run this Club properly. Once again we appear to be allowing a Portuguese agent unduly influence the strategic objectives of the Club and that greatly concerns me. This great Club should be owned by an organization that understands football first and will not make the fatal error of allowing an outsider to dictate the vision, objectives and strategy of the business.

The audio is sounding better here than normal. While I love Neumann microphones, your normal audio has too much low end content, and/or it’s too heavily processed, and listening through AirPods it makes it hard to listen to.
