I know that Jurassic World Rebirth ones swim far in the ocean but any fossil evidence of real/accurate Spinosaurus going to sea/ocean?

I find this theory quite plausible and kinda makes Spinosaurus body morphology ACTUALLY make sense! he has the sail to regulate his blood temp so he can be still for many hours if need be, his body is mostly for transportation and his neck and jaws make sense for a stork hunting method.

Those look like crow sharks (Squalicorax). Which are known in the Bahariya Oasis along with spinosaurus.

They should have added Carcharodontosaurus, it would have been more exciting if there was a fight between two giant predators from the Kem Kem Beds

Spinosaurus would likely search for food in shallow waters near the shoreline. It may have ambushed animals coming to drink or hunted fish directly. It could also have stolen carcasses killed by other predators and dragged them into the water using its massive size (most predatory dinosaurs likely waited near water sources — easier to seize opportunities, isolate and corner prey, not to mention animals that became stuck in mud, trapped in marshes, or struggled while crossing rivers).

So I would imagine it using part of a stolen carcass as bait for fish — or even using a shark it had just caught, leaving part of the head or tail, and tearing it with its forelimbs to disperse scent into the water. Rather than relying on a tiny fish that it might not have been dexterous enough to catch and handle efficiently.

This spinosaurus and the one from planet dinosaur are my favourite designs, not to mention that this looks way better than sobek from the new walking with dinosaurs. Also special mention to jurassic park 3 and dinosaur king, iconic

Honsetly, the past few years have been a good time for Spinosaurus, from the Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park 3 returning in the fourth and fifth seasons of Camp Cretaceous to making appearances in the Walking with Dinosaurs reboot and Jurassic World Rebirth last year and even with the new fossil that was unearthed a while back.

Im sorry but their depiction of the spinosaurus seems very wrong! Like, why did they show it doggy paddling? How many reptiles doggy paddle? The spinosaurus had a paddle tail and narrow face. A body design that screams hydro dynamic. Id wager that it swam much more like a crocodilian than a mammal

I got done watching this documentary an hour ago and I loved it! And felt bad for some of the animals. and didn’t know regular sharks were around when dinosaurs like the Spinosaurus was living. And I never knew that the last surviving dinos are now birds! They and reptiles like crocs and alligators are still here. Same with Komodo dragons, etc.

I have to say, I really enjoyed this documentary! It was far better than Life on Our Planet, and seeing some of the animal designs from that show improved to be more scientifically accurate is wonderful. Also the format is WAY better too, actually immersing us more in the time periods rather than the back and forth of Life on Our Planet from the past and the present. With this series going over all of the Mesozoic, it would be amazing to see a show like this focusing on the Paleozoic or Cenozoic.
Hopefully with shows set in the Paleozoic and Cenozoic also being improvements from Life on Our Planet, for example, seeing some Terror Birds as top predators and not just something for a saber toothed cat to kill to show off "mammal superiority". That has to be my one biggest problem with LOOP, the way that evolution is presented as one group overcoming and being superior to the last.
I don't mean to keep bringing up Life on Our Planet, I am glad it was made, because a lot seems to have been learned from that shows mistakes when making The Dinosaurs, which I feel is an amazing show, definitely a big improvement! Congratulations with it's success!
