Since I got my male kitten I never played with him with my hands. He just started bitting me as soon as I would come home from work. As he gets older his little teeth and nails are starting to hurt. Please give me some advice on how to stop him from bitting me period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m so tired of reading that same thing ad nauseam on every single video or article as if it’s rocket science. I’ve never played with a kitten using my hands but I’ve had biters so severe that the vet can’t even give injections or do basic exams. I appreciate that you actually gave new strategies.

I have a cat now age 1yr old ..he bites my hand my fingers what I do is ..I will say huhuhu..ouch ouch and let him see that I feel hurt by his bite then he will stop biting my hands meaning he understand that biting me is not acceptable and biting me is hurting ..I think it helps him also bring out his wants for a play toy..and I don't see it's as aggression towards me as his fur parents but I think he does it because he wants to play with me..and if I stopped him then he stopped..although I am cautious that maybe his bite will be real and deep ..but noh..it's just a play bite...

My cat bites me sometime for what I think is no reason. Then I thought, Maybe it's her way of telling me something hurts her. Since she is 11 years old, I'm thinking she could have arthritis. I started playing frequency music for her and it seems to pacify her and calm her down. You can find healing frequency music on you tube. It's free. Me and my cat love to listen to this therapeutic music. If you read the comments at the bottom of the video screen you'll discover which ones get the best reviews. If I still have a cat first thing I would stop a cat from biting because of the infection in the mouth

I hate to say this but they need a negative response to their behavior. In nature a sibling or adult cat will swat n hiss. Just a simple tap on their nose is all it takes. Every bite, before it is acceptable behavior. Bite = tap on the nose. Not hard, not painful. Just annoying..

I found a kiten outside and adopted him. He was only about 4 weeks. Hes a few months old now and he has a huge habit of play biting. I just loudly say " NO BITE" and he stops or he will hesitate and then not do anythin and lose intrest .
He loves to come out of nowhere and POUNCE and bite my arm if im preoccupied. My reflexes have gotten pretty good. Hes gotten better at knowing when not to bite my hands and arms but when it comes to my ankles he doesnt give a crap and is ready to charge and bite! I dont know what to do about that part.🫤

If I'm sitting at my computer, she is laying on the desk.
She will stand up and slowly walk across my lap, then start to lick then bite my arm, without me even touching her.

Why do people disturb sleeping pets? Wait till they wake up on their own... We got our Toyger at 1yr from the shelter and after 2mo working with him he still love bites but never uses his claws. From the 2nd week with Tiger I sat down and looked him in the eyes and laid down the law... yah right. But you have to back it up with actions, food/toys and holding'em... re-iterating not doing the unwanted behavior... Not hitting, spraying or pitching'em across the room. Hope this helps as well...

How did you learn to bite humans? You act cuddles with that toy as if you just worry about the ware and tear of your underwear. Not a care in the world just water & food.

I put lavendar lotion on my hands and feet and she does not like that smell so she for now has stopped biting my fingers and toes.

My cat bite when it is hungry and i ignore her calls for long. If i wake up late and its the food time it bites my leg to wake me up. My reaction is to push it away with that foot. That gets an angry retaliation bite. One day 8 might kick her hard if it goes on.

My rescue cat was biting me. He was biting my wrists something awful. I asked some rescue staff what to do. They said that he was seeing me as a sibling or love. I decided to work with this because he was new and wanted to play but the biting was depressing.
