Its just come up on my Facebook memories that I shared this video 15 years ago today, wow!
It takes me back to a completely different time in my life, a year before my son was born, I was younger, carefree and a whole different person. How things have changed but I'm still loving this song ❤️

I remember hearing this on the radio on various nights every other night back in the day - I remember finding it creepier than I probably should have done, as (stupidly) the line "lying in your attic" made me think "What if there is somebody in my attic right now...?" (I think I had pretty much recently started living in my own home at the time), but even then, there was probably a part of me that liked the song.

And even if there wasn't, there is now - I was recently reminded of this song (due to seeing a book entitled "Someone in the Attic") and I had to check out this song, due to the memories flooding back. It's so nostalgic hearing it, and it sounds beautiful. 🥰

My dad saw you guys at the Doug Fir in Portland OR in 2009/2010 when this album was released. He purchased this album on vinyl for me, as a 16th birthday gift and had you all sign the front. I still listen to this album to this very day ❤

I may be misremembering this but i have a feeling i might have found this song by looking at the top 10 tracks in the dazed and confused magazine wayyyy back. Lovely tune, its crazy how that magazine doesnt even print monthly issues anymore!? However i found Stornoway, it brings v happy memories for me, this music provided respite from my chaotic life. This is one of my favourite songs, heard it 15 years ago on a Hungarian radio station. Instant love for my young soul. I always come back from time to time to find back to my younger self. I'm still disappointed that only 1,5M people watched it, should be 10 times more. Anyway I'm glad you're still active, keep it up, and come to Hungary if you can :)

Oh to be 14 again

for some reason, I had this song in my head all the time when I was cycling through the Netherlands with my dad, camping at random spots.

I remember when they won the Mercury Music prize for this song in 2010! I was a little disappointed that Two Door Cinema Club didn't win, but then I thought about how unique this song was compared to everything else that had been released that year, including TDCC, and realised that they totally deserved the win.
