Those last 700 Meters by MvdP were crazy.

In France we have changed 15 times of government format in 210 years, from King to the first republic to Napoleon, to the return of the king, then the second republic then another emperor and so on until now the 5th republic, we love to change. That's why I can tell you that we will never go back to the old format for the last stage of Tdf and we will enjoy some more nice ultimate finish but today MDVP and Pogi wrote a new page of legend of the Tdf. Fantastic race.

I think for next year they need to shorten the distance a bit between the last climb of Montmartre to the finish, only two otherworldly riders could've make this break work

Kooij's performance the second climb of Montmartre was insane as well! He followed those four for almost the entire climb. So much more potential in that guy

I think the short cranks hurt Pogi in the line sprints. 170mm allows for more torque. I think he is on 165mm.

What is astonishing to me is Tadej still fighting after all the energy that we burnt-out in the last week! MvdP is much fresher but it was again Tadej to ignite the race. Chapeau. The GOAT at his best.

spectacular, cinematic finale.... the organizers did a great job planning this stage. great finish for Alpecin. More legendary status farming for Pogi and MvDP.

It's great that they take the time for GC 41km before the actual finish so we get to see a race like a one-day classic where those who still have the legs go for it.

That was amazing. It had to be MvdP, Philipsen had his back. . The work he and Tadej put in deserved it. Truly beautiful. Those last two or three pushes out the saddle to win by a tyre. Fucking magnificent.
