It's true what I read that Jodar is just great at reading serves, you can tell he managed to put his racket on almost every first serve at least in the highlights.

Jodar service motion is anything but smooth, definitely needs work. Kid has great wheels and groundies though. Fritz has got a nice, solid game - but a guy his size would seem to be able to serve bigger and maintain consistency… like Zverev for example (in fairness, Zverev is probably the highest percentage big server we’ve ever seen - but Taylor could use 2-5 more mph).

Wow. If Fritz plays like this at the US open, he's gonna go far...

Fritz is becoming quite likeable as he ages. Really enjoy his tennis breakdowns and interviews -- his near-perpetual exasperation with the sighs and "oh my God"s and eye rolls is actually quite hilarious. Good on him to break his 3-straight-finals losing streak, and of course Jodar is going to be top-10 by early next year, if not sooner. Phenomenal talent and balanced on both wings, possibly THE next-gen prospect most deserving of hype (although Fonseca, Fils, and Mensik may have higher ceilings due to their devastating FH (and serve for Mensik), the two of them both struggle for consistency while Jodar's consistency is already evident).

Jodar trying to cheat with a fake MTO before Fritz had to serve for the match was really low. And Lajani even let him take 10 minutes to tie his shoes to distract Fritz (and he was visibly pissed). A true gentleman.

Fritz is one of my favourite bots of all time. Very cool that he got it done after so many finals this year! Jodar is going to be a monster very soon, no doubt about that.
