ℹ️ More information about the video: In this video, we break down the 3 most popular ways to move to Germany — with real success stories, step-by-step guidance, and the pros and cons of each option. Whether you're job-hunting, planning to study, or just ready to take the leap — this one's for you.

Hello, I have a comment/question. Here is my story. I lived in Germany from 1987 until 1998. I was stationed there first, in the United States Army. I met a German, stayed, got married, etc. My 2 children were born and raised in Germany. One of my daughters still lives in Germany.
I'm writing this in English but I'm fluent in German and Dutch.
I will be 60 this year and will also be Self-employed. I'm a Death Doula and a translator. I also do voice over and narrate audio books as a freelance/Self-employed person.
Is there anything specific for someone like me, who has a child who is a German citizen and also the fact that I already lived and worked in Germany for all of those years and can speak and wrote German?

I am working in the germany with a blue card. My wife is currently back home. She got accepted in a masters program here in Germany. Can I just bring her with a family reunification visa? Can she study here with that visa? I am guessing she doesn’t need a block account.

Helllo ladies, i thank you so much for the information and hard work you put into this. Did you know that here in Portugal there is a waiting list of "A YEAR OR MORE" on the website of the German consulate to apply for the Chancekarte? What do you know about this? Also, super interesting, Portugal is the ONLY COUNTRY where this happens, i have tried applying changing the country of residence of the applicant to Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Thailand, Cuba, everywhere really, but none of them had this warning that you should wait for literally more than a year. What do you think about this? Vielen Dank im Voraus und liebe Gruesse aus Porto.

I am from Brazil and we're given the 90 days stay in Germany as a tourist, so could i also be eligible to look for work during this time period? The thing is that I don't have a higher education/ degree, but am thinking about doing some skill certifications like in the IT field? But so far only high school education, do you think it would be difficult for me? I have a sister who lives there with permanent residency, but she's not a German citizen yet, i know she can maybe help me with maybe family reunion, but i think i need to know German which i am learning but it's a difficult language? What you think?

Oh hey, you talked about the one I'm doing. I'm studying a master's in Germany. I'm trying to pick up the language too.. 😅 I've been here about a week.

Quick question. I'm from the US, and I know that I don't need a visa to study in Germany. However, I do need a residence permit. Do I need to show financial ability for that? I have the ability, it's just that I don't know if I should get a Sperrkonto since that incurs fees and blocks my money off for some time..

But master programs can be useless when work is not related to it. I had friend who studied master in spatial planning and graduated and started to work in another field in Germany. I switched the whole field by master study of just 1 year in Germany. I believe self study would be better than the program. Beside, master of public universities can be tough, failing is very common.

To whoever is interested in the 3rd option, Picnic and Amazon hire in Germany (for warehouse, blue collar positions) without needing any qualifications ( you should at least speak english though). You can apply through their websites entering only your phone number ,name and such.
