Surely home invasions or even muggings aren't always 1 person?

Edit: Actually, on that note of home invasion, a simple kitchen knife probably is something almost everyone has, probably has a good amount of use, doesn't require training to use, really... is it the actual best option? I doubt it. Especially since most wouldn't keep 1 in their bedroom or pocket or whatever... but it would probably get some of the best scores in every category, if you ranked options by category. I think "Do you keep it with/near you" would have to be a category, though. Also, huge difference between at home or on the go. Nobody brings a kitchen knife with them to the movie theater or mall or whatever. (Which is why EDC knives can be smart. That plus survivalist stuff if you get lost in the woods or whatever.)

I like the whip and I like the gun; employ them depending on what kind of danger you find yourself in. And the good thing is that they could both be easily carried/concealed on your body. A reliable can of mace would be a good third option, too, for non-lethal applications.

Also:
1- Master the weapons of your choice and learn to utilize them in stressful situations under pressure.
2- Always practice situational awareness.
3- Learn and employ the deescalating techniques — the first line of defense..

Machettte ofcourse. Guarantee that attackers will not even move closer. Best fight is this what you can avoid.

Music:

here a scenario, the dude is a nut and he is just determined to hurt you, and because he is in a group, they are now thinking as a group and emboldened by numbers.

i want to mention the psychological "weapon effect" where instead of being deterred, they become more aggressive in the presence of a weapon especially when they are angry.

my opinion is to be redundant. starting with the spray, then impact weapon next?

the weapons you will always have with you, knowledge, training, and the earth. the targets, vison, structure (joints and bone breaking), air (choking and bleeding out), nervous system (pain and short circuiting the brain).

Gladius, double edged and sharp; nobody will grab the blade.
If you need non-lethal, then pepper spray. Or, both.

One weapon that history has shown to be fantastic against multiple attackers even when they are armed with Malay, weapons and armored somewhat, is the Dan act. Look up the battle of Hastings. And the battle of Stamford Bridge. all joking aside, your smart phone is an excellent deterrent weapon. You can command your smart phone with your voice to call 911 on speaker. Your assailant now have to knowingly assault you while on the phone with the authorities listening in to everything that’s happening. If you do this loud and proud in the narrate exactly the scenario that is happening you do not need your phone in your hand so that you can operate your other weapon or tool or whatever you wanna call it like your pepper gel stream.

Don’t forget: a standard hammer is like, 4 in from (in the shaft) away from being a medieval weapon.

The whip is awesome, I guess

I've seen multiple times someone wielding a machete intimidates literally everyone around them whether or not they are up against them fighting. Moreover just one strike with a machete on someone would do enough damage to scare off the others. Man, that's gory and gruesome. Alternatively, as a handy daily weapon you can conceal-carry, I think a fixed-blade knife with a holster that you can secure to your belt is the best thing, especially in places and countries where owning guns is illegal.

@priyamganguly
@

Mine in order
1 Blackjack---hurts/damages/destroys no matter how soft or hard where you connect and easy to carry
2 Sap---same as above but more reach usually and 4 places to impact instead of 2----less lethal option of 3
3 Large two edged blade with skullcrusher and knuckles attached for punching and protect hand

Wrap a sock around that bat, don´t swing back like that, swing is a fluid single motion back and forth. Also use makeshift weapons. Padlock with a bandana, bike chain etc.
Also in real life nun-chucks are the dumbest weapon ever made. You need to be bruce lee to use in a manner where you hit the other guy more than you do yourself, they are basically useless.

Love your content, the idea of a flexible single-handed weapon is very appealing and effective. They are also easy to make a cheap improvised tool that is legal to possess...like paracord with a hex nut tied to the end. Good work, thanks for the video!

In south africa they always come in gangs of 4 to 8 , all carrying some type of weapon

In Indonesia sometimes on the In small or quiet cities there are usually always motorbike muggers. So every time someone comes home from work at night on a motorbike, usually there will be several muggers who will chase them on motorbikes or set traps on the road. Moreover, they usually use sharp weapons, such as machetes, knives, sickles. Some scenarios in my head, if I ever encounter them, I usually consider two helmets as a weapon. One for guard my head, one for swing weapon. Or sometimes I brought a nunchaku

I'm told by animal control people that stun batons are great against attacking dogs. Surprisingly, often you don't even need to actually contact the dog. Apparently the SOUND scares many dogs off.

Multiple attacher scenario #1:
I have a 30 x 50 shop where I do high end woodworking. But the large 10 x 12 roll-up door is usually open. I could see some baddies wanting to steal tools, maybe one of my motorcycles, or cars, so they just walk up and try to "badass" their way in and take what they want..."
Which would be a huge mistake! 🤦‍♂

I'm 83, and a musician that sometimes work nights around drunks.
In my car, I keep what appears to be an identical machete to the one on-screen, but my serious weapon is a pipe lighter/torch I keep in my pocket. One swipe to the eyes, beard or hair (if any, that's why the machete)) and that battle is over in a quick moment. I'm sure LEOs are not happy with my decision, but my wife appreciates that i get home. Self-defense ONLY, of course.

Problem with guns is: No matter how good you THINK you are, most shots will NOT hit the intended target. No matter the distance. So WHO or what will you hit and possibly kill? The 6 year old girl trying to go home from school or dance class? Guns are SHITTY self defense weapons.

What is the name brand of the weapon that looks like a gun, sprays and 😂is orange on the top? I likd the idea of strong pdpper spay if there's a good amount it.

The best trick obviously is to run away as mentioned if your not in that alleyway to get jumped either because you didn't put yourself in that position or left before anything actually could happen you've avoided the conflict entirely but as a Canadian who's dealing with government induced helplessness i fully understand and appreciate the need for self defense tools in the modern day when everybody is just trying to survive
