Thought exercise for fans of Waiting for the Sun. According to legend, the Doors recorded a studio version of The Celebration of the Lizard, but no one was happy with the quality. So, they included the Not to Touch the Earth edit on the album. Also, the song Waiting for the Sun was recorded during these sessions but held back until Morrison Hotel. So, my question: How would you organize the album with all the current songs (leaving out Not to Touch the Earth) with the Waiting for the Sun song and the full version of The Celebration of the Lizard (which would incorporate the Not to Touch the Earth)? Talk amongst yourselves.

I saw the doors 21st century in 2004 with ray and robbie and on vocals was ian Astbury. About as close as id ever get to the real DOORS and hey , what a night it was , i was f*****g loving it 😅

Waiting For the Sun 🌞 was the only album that got to the top of billboard album charts and the tune Waiting for the Sun 🌞 was the 2nd track on Morrison Hotel because they felt the tune needed more work to it, very unique indeed another great album
@BillWalters-iz3tv"Summer's almost gone" is one of their finest creations, Jim's sun burnt honey poetry/voice, Robbie's languid sleepy bottle-neck blues, Ray's jazzy keys and John's fills and flourishes is just so gorgeous.
It was one of the first songs they wrote, which is so crazy to think about.
What a band!.
Jim saved me from drowning once, after his death. He was in the clouds. All I heard was 'Horse Latitudes". Never forget that time.

I got this tape at 11. Played it until it wore out. This music opened my mind. More than anything else I’ve tried. Masterpiece of culture and music and the mystical. Love the DOORS.
@Pumkin11love the Doors the first record I bought at 15 was their first album. I adore this entire album but I think 5 to 1 is one of the top ten rock and roll songs EVER!!
