To increase the amount they charge per game even on old re releases they havent done a thing to is incredibly stupid and shows us theres no reason to pay those prices for new games. The nintendo games that are cheapest around 50 dollars would sell better if they were like 30 dollars because these titles are years old already.

Global Console Shipments Forecast to Fall 19.5% in 2026
I've already given up on gaming now. I've sold and given away all my consoles. Except for my PS5 cause I am curious about what will happen to it come 2028. And I know holding onto retro consoles could be a good thing, but my mind is so overwhelmed with all this bad gaming news that I can't even look at a video game and smile anymore. What once was a great pastime and hobby is now just drowned out by the tidal wave of people on the internet talking about all this bad stuff. And I am in no way blaming anyone for talking about bad news. I just hear so much that I now feel bad for owning things like a PlayStation or Xbox, and I now just want them out of sight and out of mind.
I'd be better off going back to old hobbies like puzzles, reading and writing. Because honestly, too many corporations are finding ways to ruin what were once beloved hobbies by many.

If Nintendo is Making an Official Console for the Zelda Movie they want to clear shelves and a DL game code isn't losing anything in the Box, They are decreasing the Valuse of the Game in the Bundle that is all Digital. So Making a Sale would pay off way better then not giving out the Game for Free.

@TrailblazerTales-LLCNo worries, Nintendo is doing fine, there will always be special offers here and there, even during Christmas, despite memory price increases, they will sell the Switch 2 at a loss if needed and take the hit. Sony and MS are pretty much finished at this point though, no one will pay 1299 Bucks for a console without a Disc Drive. Oh, sorry, I know some will, but the userbase for that price is maybe 20M big and they will be split between two consoles, both companies will have their WiiU moment. Well I guess MS already had with the Series Xboxes and Sony with their Vita...

@TrueEngieBengieI’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m glad I’m an Xbox fan. Sony is pissing off their community hardcore. Then Nintendo is suing companies left and right while also not releasing jackshit to make the Switch 2 more appealing to purchase. Genuinely search up Switch 2 exclusive games and realize just how few games the Switch 2 has going for it. As of this moment on Nintendo’s own website the Switch 2 has only 90 things you can purchase for it. That’s not even accounting for the fact that most of those are some kind of bundle, or can just be purchased for a different console all together. What’s left as exclusives are niche titles. There are no main brand new games on it. I’m convinced Nintendo is just out of ideas, since Nintendo has released the new version of the “PS3 has no games” meme. 😂
Makes me wonder if we’ll watch the fall of these 2 gaming giants in action.

They think they can by priorizing accounting, DRM, investors, and social engineering over gamers AND developer artistry. They adapted for short term greed over long term wisdom. Now that karma is catching up to them.

@bowseroneupPhysical media is the only reason I kept buying consoles. Yes I get that you still have to download the games, but if you lose your account, at least you can just redownload the game instead of just having to accept your entire library is lost.

The more it cost the more it pushes poeple to that monthly service. Its coming im sure.
