The GENIUS of Season 2’s Cyclicality - Overanalyzing Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad is the greatest show of all time, and it’s my favorite show of all time as well.
I have probably watched it all the way through at least 10 times.

But I have to be honest… The plane crash is by far the worst plotline in the show.
Narratively, tonally, it is so out of step with the rest of the show and the rest of the story.
It feels way too grandiose and self-indulgent to have a 9/11 level event happen because of Walt.

They should’ve scaled this down into a massive multi-car accident or something more believable.

The scale is just too big compared to the rest of the show. It doesn’t feel grounded or realistic enough, compared to the entire narrative.

Walter did kill her but so she killed herself as well doing the drugs in the first place, Jessies fault as well.

34:30 I don’t think this is 100% unusual. I had a mentor/father figure guy who had fought cancer for about 15 years. His wife knew and she told me but that was pretty much it he never told his mom and I think he told his sisters when he was pretty late in the game. If I ever get cancer I probably won’t say anything either.

My theory about the original cleanup scene with Saul is that he probably wouldve arrived alongside an associate akin to Kuby or Huell (or even Mike himself couldve been inevitably created for this purpose). I can picture the other guy doing the cleanup while Saul delivers some poor attempts at comedy while trying to keep Jesse together.

I always felt really awful for Jane's dad. Seeing his haunted, vacant look when he sees Jane's gone is just brutal.

Until watching this specific video I never overanalyzed that portrait but it seems fairly obvious taking your points that the blue swirls represent the good that's around her trying to Hold her but the black has already Gotten closer and obviously has a tight grip

Sometimes I think the most evil thing Walt did was not just causing Jane's death... it was allowing Jesse to be crushed with guilt on waking up next to her corpse. How different would everything be if Walt got Mike on immediately after she rolled her eyes and got either Jane or Jesse out of there.

Walt DID NOT need to let Jane die. She and Jesse were going to get clean and leave all the drug business behind, so Walt only let her die to keep Jesse under his control
