What year is this??? In New York City??? There's no way the street would have been that clean in those days...neither their clothes. Before the sewer was built...in 1900?? I forget the year, the streets of NYC, especially the poor sections, were buried in excrement and animal entails from the butchers. It would freeze in the winter, and thaw out every summer.

How do you think it was everyone was dying of cholera?? I assume even the rich districts would ahve had something in the street. Not this picture perfect spotless nonsense!

Tbh i always had a sense that he kinda attracted to her even in the beginning, they both actually. They clicked immediately. But i guess they just took it as a friendly way. I hope they stay together till the end. I mean they keeps on smiling whenever saw each other and that's just melts my heart

I’d really like to know how Marianne’s aunts were able to get ahold of that particular dog when the breed was nearly extinct at that point in time. It wasn’t until sometime in the 1920s when someone set a challenge to bring them back did they see a rise in breeding. And it’s not even that simple because from what I’ve heard they had to recreate them…. Whether that’s true or not is another thing. Either way they basically didn’t exist at this time.

Is this, perhaps, another one of Julian Fellows f—k ups? I know Downtown Abbey is full of them. I even heard he would throw tantrums/fits when fans pointed them out 🤣.

Marvelous. I think the writers created the misunderstanding event just to have tension between them and stretch things out. I hate that.

I’d like to see a similar scenes compilation of Jack and Bridgette.

Season 3 was a flop in regard to progressing their relationship - in any direction! The show took one simple misunderstanding easily explained, and stretched it out over the whole season. Eight episodes just to decide to continue dating, and then having a dance. What a wasted opportunity to depict the highs and lows of a deepening relationship. Once they left the back of that cab (a cute scene!), nothing more really happened.

The sweetest couple!!! At least till the end of season 2

They met. Liked each other. Got engaged. The guy went to strip club of to celebrate, she found out. They fought and made up later.
What a garbage storyline. Even the best acting couldn't save it
