SOOO much easier to just use a proper egg poaching pan with the egg cups tray in it! boil water in the main pan, put olive oil in the little cups, put raw whole egg in each cup, put lid on, set timer for 3.5 -4.0 minutes, and VOILA! PERFECT poached eggs! they just slide out of the cups, super easy cleanup too! none of this shown ridiculous fussing around either...

Why don’t my eggs turn as white as the ones in the video while in the vinegar solution? They turn cloudy, but stay largely translucent and loose (too loose to pull out with a ladle; I need the slotted spoon). Do I need to up the vinegar?

I love poached eggs. I have an egg poaching pot with inserts but it’s not the same as direct water boiled. Gonna give this a try. Thanks! … Love your fun apron, BTW!

I just did it with a duck egg. It took a little bit longer because duck eggs are a little more thicker? But it worked
