The iPhone Air FAILED....but I LOVE IT Anyways

Video Overview & Insights

When it was launched many people said the iPhone Air was the worst iPhone. Its battery life, camera, and even durability were questioned. But after almost 8 months of use, this feels more like a rally good beta test, something that can set the stage for what's to come like a foldable iPhone and more.

i had the 12 inch macbook the ultra thin it was slugglish slow and hopeless with just one usb c port a horrible keyboard , but i still loved it it was just amazing the size was just unreal i wish they bring it back

I got one for almost half price of launch price. The phone does not make sense! massive screen but 1 speaker? super thin but massive screen that you cant one hand easily? The only reason I got it is because it was cheaper than the iphone 17
In an ideal world I would have got an iphone 17 mini

Just don’t pay 1k for this. Find it refurbished as nearly new and it’s worth it.

There was no reason it should have been worse than the base 17 at anything other than battery life but Apple chose cut more.

Honestly the air is my favourite iPhone ever, I’ve had pro’s up until now and just chose it because it’s the only one in years that’s felt new. iOS 27 has much improved battery life and because of its 12gb of ram it’s getting all of the new features that the regular 17 and below won’t see. I use it caseless and it just feels nice in the hand every time I hold it. It was worth the money in my opinion for the thinness, lightness, the titanium frame and the fact it’s getting features that 99% of other iPhones won’t see.

I’ve had my IPhone Air since Christmas last year, and. I love it. I have no complaints.

Went from the 15 pro to the Air. It’s worth it yall. The Air is such a great phone. I’ll be so sad if they don’t continue this phone in the future :(

The thing that makes this such a high value proposition is that most carriers are basically giving away this phone. For 7.99-9.99 a month for 36 months this phone can be had. At the end of the upgrade period that's as little as 300 dollars for a 1000 dollar phone essentially

Just pretend android got no bugs😂

If iPhone air was priced at $799 it would be a hit. Same price as iPhone 17, one camera less but bigger screen, smaller battery but lighter and thiner, mono speaker but titanium more durable. But it flew too close to iPhone 17 Pro got burned
😂

iPhone AIR is for normal user. 97% of users will be just fine with AIR. I know I have AIR, switched from 15 pro.

My main phone is a S24 Ultra but I got the Air as a work phone for my business. I LOVE how thin the Air is. I stopped using iPhones because of how chunky, fat, and heavy the PM models are so I use an Ultra now. That being said, the Air is such a step forward and feels like finally Apple has moved forward in regards to design instead of the same ol' phone they shove out every year. Boring and heavy. I LOVE MY AIR! The battery life isn't has bad as I thought it would be and it charges really fast. Only having one camera is weird but I have my Samsung for photos and most photos you will use the 1x lens anyway so the iPhone works great. It has a great sensor on it too. iOS is kind of meh, but hopefully they start making it more customizable soon, which I think they will as they have made iPadOS pretty awesome and competitive in regards to there Samsung tablet competition. I love how you can move stuff around like windows etc.

Apple didn’t make this phone for the fold 😂😂let it go, they have a iPad Air line up now they have the phone line up, don’t overthink just enjoy it

I do believe that this is peer pressure at it's best. fear of being made fun of for buying a "useless" phone. who cares! had mine since launch and love it! hehe

@grifter24
@

If you "AIR" you will never go back! I regret buying the 17 Pro Max before the AIR, it is now hibernating.

@shaiaxelrud
@

I believe the iPhone air is on track to sell over 24 million units this year. Does that sound like a failure? Compared to what?

@ernestbuckstarr
@

Dude its wild that your phone throttles like that, mine has been pretty good! Like no slow downs or anything but I dont play games much or do anything intensive. Maybe google maps but yea its strange that yours and other peoples act like that. I think if Apple were to have a $799 starting price with 256GB storage it wouldve done much better

@warrenmcclure7819

I daily the S25 Edge and iPhone Air. Thin phones for the win.

@sweatynoob5869
@

were all those ios26 glitches just on the air, or all phones using ios26?

@mattbray_studio
@

Bro, it’s an intro device. It was never about the original air. It’s about the concept. They will improve on it. They can always do more than they currently are. It’s about the future. The next air will be more camera, more battery and better haptics etc. just dig it for. Ow and move on when the better one comes out. It’s their plan.

Got the air cause my carrier had a massive discount on it bringing it to only a few dollars more than the base 17

@CommanderMouse72
@

Tbh I upgraded from the 13 pro to the 17 and although the phone was nice, what I truly missed and didn’t like is the material. The Aluminium feels so
 cheap and not exciting. The air didn’t let me go, so 6 months later I traded in my 17 for the air and couldn’t be happier. It’s sleek, beautiful, gets everything done, battery for me lasts even longer than the 17 of which I never am in a battery shortage. I absolutely don’t mind the speaker. I even have been in situations where it was nice that there was no bottom speaker, because I hate the sound of it when you’re blocking the bottom speaker. This phone really does it all for me

Samsung did the same thing - better - with the s
S20 plus/ultra 5 years ago. Why are Apple influencers so cringe?

@MichaelBoltenFanNo1

iPhone Air didn’t fail. People failed to appreciate it as much as it deserves. Our job is not to help manufacturers reach their sales targets anyway. We buy what we think is best for us regardless of the number of people who think the same.

@MC-pg4vd
@

Just picked it up to replace my iphone 12 mini, 30% off meant it was cheaper then the iphone 17 base model. At that price its a no brainer

@beldin3013
@

They should’ve made it the same style as the base 17 (double rear vertical cameras) instead of that bump, should’ve kept top and bottom speakers and it would be a chef’s kiss! I got the base 17, and bought this one and im gonna sell my base 17. I just wanted to try it out, and i do like how thin it is. Im not big on taking lots of pictures I don’t need all the bells and whistles, i just don’t think the camera bump in the back is complementing at all. They should have reserved those ugly bumps to the pro and pro max only. It’s also the first iPhone that I don’t use a case for, I always use cases cause I usually buy pro max until I didn’t. But for this phone using a case defeats the purpose, a case makes it thick and heavy. The whole reason I got it is because its thin and light and to avoid wrist strain

@edwardcm9175

Dude all these bugs you mentioned with ios - i didnt experience any of those - having ios 26 from day 1 on the air as well.

All I want is a new iPhone Mini. I went from the 13 Mini to the 17 and I love everything about the 17 except I miss the size and weight of the 13.

A mini with 120 hz and the brightness of the 17 would be sheer perfection.

@GoADHDGo

I have to be honest, for the chip, size and how thin it is, I think it is relatively fairly priced. I will buy it.

@kenneth4882

My air has been great. At first I used maybe 20-30% of battery per day. I don’t use my phone really heavy. After setting up the work phone app I’m using maybe 40% battery. I do also browse forums online but generally don’t watch many videos. iOS 26.4 tanked the battery though which really sucked. 26.4.1 did fix that. As long as I’m not glued to my phone the battery is not a problem. People just be complaining about the symptoms of their problems lol.

Also my carplay is wired and is generally how my phone charges unless I need to use it more. Usually only have to charge overnight every 2-3 days.
