A real eye-opener! I'm currently reading Pat's book on lyric form, and this video is the perfect complement. Thanks!

Hello,
Can the notes of the singer be subdivided and the beat of the drum is still the same? For instance, the drum does one quarter while the rapper, or the singer does two syllables🎵.
Thanks for the explanation
@vadimzubakhin1589Wordhelp is a powerful search engine and a great tool for writers. There you can find the stressed syllable for any word, and so much more.
Creating rhythmic patterns in lyrics that match stressed syllables to the strong beats of the bar has increased the clarity and impact of my lyrics more than any other technique.
Great video! Thank you!
Thank you for this. I would really love a video that goes more in depth on word stress, and which words in a sentence you should stress. I know you said nouns, verbs, adjectives often are stressed, but how do you decide which are most important?
@enriquejamesmusicHello, I want to ask you how do you determine a stressed syllable in fast rap. In fast rap you say every word fast and usually you put stress on the last word of the line. Now I don't think that there is only one stressed syllable in every line in the lyrics. Need help with this, Thank you for the answer
@LilaMusicDigitalLove how you break this down :)
@NADINEYOMImusicwhen it comes to rap, how do i flow with stressed and unstressed syllables, to fit on the beat? Having this issue for a while
@Dsquad_MusicNot here because I need information, just getting some relief from hearing songs where people didn't do anything with syllables
@johnr.timmers2297Keep making videos.... you're amazing and really an inspiration..😊
@djay6666Great work as always sir 🙏🏼
Please bring more videos on matching lyrics to melody and melody to lyrics...
Thank you 💞
I count accents
@WizardOfArcNicely done! Explains a lot. I do find counting syllables is very important from verse to verse not from one phrase line to the next however. Learn something new everyday with you. Rock On and Inner Peace my friend.
@joepringle9028This video is one of the most important in songwriting. I'm eager for more on this subject. Thank you.
