bro what come home for the holidays. its not deceiving. they play 30th against LA at 10pm and 2nd against SJ. ITS ONE % PERCENT they're staying in California and celebrating the NYE (likely their families flying in) in Los Angeles or San Francisco. Noone's gonna fly to Toronto after a 10pm game which ends nearly 2am on 31st. Its a 5 hour flight, so even if they board the plane at 4am, they wouldn't land in Toronto earlier than 9am. Without any sleep. So what you think happens, they go to bed for the whole day, then wake up at 8pm on 31st to celebrate NYE in Toronto with their families, and then the very next morning board a 5 hour flight back to California? No chance lmao

I heard the NHL has the oldest scheduling system in all of sports , compared to the NFL,NBA and MLB . Part of me is like it is crazy , but the other me thinks these guys are professionals and are paid handsomely. There are other jobs that pay extremely well like Alaskan King crabbing but you don’t hear the old salts wishing they were fishing in sunny Florida or in some of BC’s waters etc . Next thing that will be introduced will be hydration breaks in hockey lol .

leafs always get 1 of most back to back games..i think its toronto is pretty central in north america to travel many places quickly...there is a 9 game road trip with cali in middle of the road trip..
@JayEdwards-26The Leafs have their destiny in their own hands. Last year they had production issues: they need more goals for and less goals against. 252 for 295 against. That is where the rubber meets the road. Compare with Tampa Bay 286 for 229 against, in 5th place. TB scored 34 more goals and gave up 66 less goals. Its not rocket science -- give up less and score more.
