The One | Official Trailer | Netflix
Video Overview & Insights
The One is set five minutes in the future, in a world where a DNA test can find your perfect partner – the one person you’re genetically predisposed to fall passionately in love with. No matter how good your relationship, which one of us can honestly say we haven’t thought about whether there is someone better out there? What if a hair sample is all it takes to find them? The idea is simple, but the implications are explosive. We will never think of love and relationships in the same way again. The One launches on Netflix March 12.
Nope... this is dumb... it is always just in one or a few countries😂 like the world is big ok😂 bizar amount of people and age difference😂 naaaaah... i prefer true human connection. I'll pass...

The last time I spoke with a Netflix project manager, he told me, “Bring us some junk projects!” “What do you mean?” I asked. “Headquarters isn’t expecting us to come up with good projects,” he replied. I guess that explains how these crappy projects come about.

Love — and lies — spiral when a DNA researcher helps discover a way to find the perfect partner, and creates a bold new matchmaking service
There is so much that goes into attraction other than our genetics. Life experiences, our background, beliefs, kinks, and what we are taught, etc, all go I to how we react to someone. Also, this testing can go so wrong in so many ways, and the wrong people can get into the system to pair people up that should never be paired. If a rich guy wants a certain person that turned them down they can just pay someone off to pair them.

This was SO good! Not sure why it’s popping up on my feed 5 years later.
@theGaytedCommunityPodcastSomeone was obviously asked to make the absolute worst trailer imaginable to unmarket a movie.
@amerikalasti thought jet li was involved
@Architect33330:54 That lab scene brought back memories of an exceptionally selfish perp who is willing to place children, adults and our elderly in harm's way so as to become filthy rich, aka Elizabeth Homes who created Theranos. F***king parasites.
@deeliciousplumDang -- I have just begun reading the novel this is based on [apparently] . It doesn't seem to resemble the novel much, but I'll be giving it a look after I'm well into the book.
@r1pbuckWow another Rick & Morty episode turned into it’s own show 😂
@richm1981Sounds kinda like Elizabeth Holmes squared.
@wuzjackalz2880Netflix is literally crapping money down the tubes now.
@JustBeingWhoImMeantToBeLet's start with a premise that makes no F*king sense. 1st genetics do not determine affinity, from there on, the whole show it is pointless. What about identical twins? they share the same genetics. Are they "soulmates" of the same person?
@Nemo-mo1982Choke-full of woke-feminist slop
@000alephTop
@LucasBastos-t7dThere's only One The One , and he ain't nobodys Bitchhhhhh😂
@PrimeNoodleI watched this on Netflix quite a while back & really enjoyed it. Today I just finished reading my first John Marrs thriller novel. When looking for another of his books to read I saw "The One" & it mentioned on Amazon that it was made into a Netflix series so I came here searching for the trailer not realising I'd already seen it. John Marrs is a brilliant author.
@TonyJones-60I actually have a man who is the perfect match for me
@masssojourner87Looking at this trailer all I see is more sad WOKENESS from Netflix again!
@tomdom-n1wI love big data ❤
@tota.original9688Nice thriller, better mini serie! I love it! I've seen it for times! Congratulations for this masterpiece
@matmateo8467I’m so disappointed that Netflix didn’t do anything with this series. Never even officially dropped it! It had so much potential.
@JanelleChambersCame to the comments to see if it’s worth watching and I’m still on the fence. 🤣
@cal6311If you find this interesting, just read the book. Unfortunately, the series has changed so much, it's actually something completely different.
@eliweluThe book was so good that I'm not sure I want to take the risk of ruining it by watching the show.... The characters really stay with you and their stories are just so gripping (my favorite were Christopher and Nick, I think about them often). I think I'll only be able to watch it if I actually hear the author John Marrs vouch for the show. I listened to the audiobook, it really felt like seeing 5 different movies in one play out in my head.
@elegant_paradoxDon't watch it: a pretentious format with lots of story lines that you already know and that are never really closed. Or they are in a way that makes you feel you lost precious life time. Sometimes it seems, as if they purposefully try to disrespect their viewers with their endings 😂
@danieldavis3565Not usually a book worm nor do I read a lot or even at all but I can guarantee that Book is 100% better
@addictivetim44Anyone here in 2024 bc they read the book by John Maars?
Is this show worth buying Netflix?
When is season 2 coming out
@BillionDollars_Stcyr7999Shit movie
@choudharyhamad6286Nice trailer
@jabidulislam9870OH LMAO MY TEACHER WANTED ME TO WRITE A REVIEW ON THE ONE(2001) AND I THOUGHT SHE MEANT THIS ONE HAHAHAHHAHAHA
@zio_beckI love it

This book was amazing and this show looks totally different and low-budget
@taylorwinget6426Watch it! It was AWESOME 👏🏾
@DaraMaysThey left us hanging. I hope they bring back another season. It was a good show. It's been a long time. What's up!
@ccwalker050Oh, proper Netlix. Gay people, tick. Handi-capable person, tick. Someone speaking Spanish in an English speaking country. Tick.
@williamvorkosigan5151Loved this serie❤
@michelev5723It has to be immaculate 🎉
@PrasadKoranne-n8wNever thought about this because I’ve not come across this but:
I think Hannah Ware would be better off in the House of The Dragon than Emma D’Arcy
She has that cold look about her that will fit Dragon Queen
I think this girl stole her hairstyle from the musician jessie ware (wildest moments song 🎶) 🤷🏻♀️
@artsygirl2003Man Netflix is awful at films but amazing with series...season 2 will be epic but why not until March 2024?
@furrybear9416🎉
@zakiacheriiif5943knockoff of Soulmates..
@teenyverse7707I need season 2.
@merryvanity548Amazing show
@Mike-gi2oiAny news about the second season?
@AlejandroAlicataIdole
@alexfernandohuenten1374I am guessing most people here who loved the show haven't read the book because when i tried to watch this i got soo disappointed they focused to much on the creators and removed the stories of the other couples in the books ( they were five with one of them being the creator but all had the same amount of story ) but here even the serial killer story was nowhere to be seen.
The book definitely did a way better job at portraying the problems and possibilities that might come when matching with someone as we had variety which was what i was interested in when i read the premise unlike the tv show
