Serial killers are the dark stars of modern culture, but is it nature or nurture that creates a serial killer? Born To Kill takes an in-depth look at the cases of some of the most notorious murderers that have shocked the world.

In a span of rapes and murders from 15 July 1992 through November 1993, Robert Clive Napper (eventually known as The Green Chain Rapist) targeted mothers accompanied by children. He may not have been born to kill, but living under a wife-beating father and suffering sexual assault at thirteen from a family friend didn't sit well with his Asperger's syndrome diagnosis, his later identification as a paranoid schizophrenic, and his personal humiliation at having erectile dysfunction. His killings, though few, were abnormally savage.

Now in London don't give a sht about that kind of stuff 😂

Our Life brings you fascinating stories of social interest from around the world. You can discover award winning documentaries, films and groundbreaking reports that capture the complexities of our daily life, with stories that will entertain, inspire and inform.

Autism also love routine and repetitive acts, regarding repetitive boring job. Napper may have found it calming. Also he wasn't being bullied or found strange, like at school.

" The oldest child of Brian,a driving instructor,and his mother Pauline"!?!?!? Eh??? What gibberish! Surely Brian didn't have an incestuous relationship with his own mother! And this was broadcast!

There is no excuse for what Napper did to Samantha, Jazmine, Rachel and possibly the other victims. He and he alone knows why he did it.

Why if he was so mad did he not attack someone who could actually defend themselves! Cowardly evil monsters is what they are and they need putting down!

Do these programmes really need the random American talking heads who seems to do nothing more than state the painfully obvious.

Around the Woolwich and Bexley there were 2 or 3 rapists during the 1980-90s (in fact was 7yr old victim myself in that area)1 was Alan Pirey?/birchwalk/Bexley rd, sadly people could get away without DNA forensics etc.....

The police are responsible, not just individually but as part of the entire system. You can’t allow someone like this to roam freely. I've watched many episodes about serial killers in the UK and the USA, and the pattern is consistent: the system is protecting them.

Recently watched a podcast with Charlie Shipton who was a prison officer on same wing as this monster. He said to him the women were in the wrong place at the wrong time I hope to God he ends up in the right place at the right time.

Dr Katherine Ramsland taught brian kohberger, she couldn't stop a killer in her classroom, rendering her opinion worse than useless.

NB, she has been extremely quiet since the BK case........ I wonder why.

Sam's partner must have researched a lot of Nappers crimes. Very tragic to live in the past like that. I guess trying to understand why her.
I can't get my head around why Napper killed poor Jasmine.
Its not like she'd have been a reliable witness.
Us as humans are great at trying to justify these horrible crimes. He may have had problems but im sure he knew good from bad and right from wrong.

lol they found a map with markers on the exact places the murders took place and they did not arrest him?????

The real evil in this documentary are the over-long interfering adverts !

Why is no-one doing anything about this ? !

Robert will never be fit for release, he's only about 59 or 60 now, and will still be able-bodied, ppl like him never change, and he killed a baby an two mothers, along with countless other victims, 🙏🏻✨️

It didn't even occur to me that the poor little girl would've been killed too. I was imagining how she'd gone to live with her dad and they'd helped each other through, and wondering what she'd be doing today, in her mid-to-late 30s. But no, just silence. 😔

@UnIimited_Power

I cant imagine the fear a Mother feels having a stranger in her home and knowing her child is at risk. To fight and antagonise but maybe save your lives or submit and hope.

@DianeHanna-t6p

I'm so glad this documentary showed Samantha and Jazmine. Everything always focuses on Rachel Nickell, and it makes me sad to think that these lovely human beings who went through such a horrific death are left as an afterthought as though they were less interesting or valuable.

It’s not fair to justify his crimes due to his past. Someone else will follow him to do similar crimes. Where is the justice for the innocent victims?
