33:17 I've seen 'Solider' as well, and while I have a hard time believing it was unknown to Cameron based on the alley spawning scene alone, I also don't think the complete work is anywhere near similar enough to merit a lawsuit. I've heard people say Ellison had a history of petty litigation, so him going after the movie certainly makes sense.

The thing about the terminators is that in cannon they are learning machines. Your mention at 11:58 is a reference to this, and we see at 12:00 he selects from a limited amount of responses. It shows that as the terminator interacts more and more with humans, the more it learns our patterns like speech and mannerisms.
We see this with his weapons as well. In California at the time, the state had banned the civilian sale of machine guns, but federally, the National Firearms Act hadn't been enacted yet. In script its said that the T-800 actually "purchased" an AR-180, the civilian semi-automatic version of the Automatic AR-18 we see him use in the assault on the police station. But because the terminator is a genius, he modified his weapons like the AR-180 and the Uzi to be automatic.
It really goes to show how much of a learning machine it really is, even when heavily limited by sky-net.
Also, the getting shot as the gunstore employee thing you mention at 15:15, almost EVERY single gun store employee ive met actively open carries to limit these types of situations lolll.....

I just rewatched Terminator last night for the first time in forever. It was a great nostalgia moment. You did a great job on your breakdown. The story is great. Great video! Though I hoped you would have mentioned the deleted scene at the end. The factory they end up at is actually Cyberdyne Systems, and they rush the micro-processor off to R&D first thing Monday morning. Had it on the Director's Cut when DVD's were still big thing.

But yeah it was just made for people watching it, to make them think, a plasma rifle? what? wait? is he from the future?

терминатор обохдит фургон и левой рукой отталкивается от капота машины, так делают люди, когда спешат
робот так делать не станет (это как в детройте, когда робот проходит мимо решетчатого забора и ведет пальцами вдоль решеток, просто потому что так делают люди, но роботу это делать не нужно)
к тому же, машина под весом опирающегося на нее терминатора должна была просесть или качнутся, но она не двигалась. эта вся сцена у меня выызвает вопрсосы

I’m a millennial I remember the rotary phone ! lol I think you mean Gen Z . We had those phones when I was a kid and could redial . Other than that I love the terminator series ! Even though the timelines with each movie are all over the place . I think Arnold can play it forever and even his sons if they want to go that far .
So The Terminator is one of those films that changed cinema. A classic of the genre it made many peoples careers and turned several of the cast members into household names. Everything about it is incredible and throughout this video I wanna break down the entire film scene by scene to talk about why it works so well. This video is packed with easter eggs, hidden details and a lot of things that I haven't seen pointed out before so I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I have making it.
Now though I normally start these videos by diving right into it I actually wanna start of by discussing where James Cameron was at before he made this movie.

Cameron was slowly scratching a name out for himself and this caught the attention of the people running the show behind Piranha 2. Brought on as a special effects supervisor he ended up replacing the original director after he was fired from the production. This guy had been let go over creative differences and unfortunately, Cameron ran into the same issues when he was working on the set.

I think the terminator ran off after the car chase scene because of damage to eye socket and mobility issue with his arm. We later see that he surgically removes that eye and uses a scalpel to cut his skin and then proceed to fix his hand getting his motor functioning to work... Again its a calculating machine and probably anticipated that it was not optimal to fight in those conditions
