I think he came back around 70 AD and our chronological timeline is all jacked up with deception and false or split up history. Satan gets released to deceive the nations after the 1000 years. @BigOleDoinks420If you want to say Dark Ages, call it for what it actually was. Europe was cut off because of the Muslim empire and literacy dropped dramatically. The church, love them or hate them took it upon themselves to write down everything they could. Which also gives credibility to the whole âthey locked up booksâ yeah because it took dozens of hours to make said books on materials that werenât the easiest to obtain.

@BigchungusdeluxeIt's called the dark ages because knowledge from the roman empire was lost when it fell. Dark implies a shadow obscured our vision of this knowledge. Not dark because of poverty and struggle. It's more like how dark matter isn't actually dark. We just can't see it.
