I dont understand. Why did the CEO and the Saftey officer even make these decisions? None of this drama would ever happen if they just didnt do all of this. Its really stupid that they stopped caring about the communities suggestions. Before roblox was a platform where you can show off your creativity and have fun with friends. Now you have to verify your entire account to publish games and to talk to people. Fuck roblox.

Some things I want to say as someone who was around as early as 2008:
-The earliest I remember hearing about ODers was around late 2008/early 2009 when Roblox started adding more character customization features, the idea may have been around even earlier than that.
-Super Safe Chat wasn't originally determined by having an under 13 account, it actually predates the 13+ and under 13 account feature. It originally was an option you chose when you created your account.
-As far as I'm aware the Lego C&D was just an unconfirmed rumor. The texture change itself happened in March of 2009.
-The forums always listed accurate join dates, even after the 2/27/2006 glitch showed up on profiles.
-Accounts were not terminated for posting on Forum 34, they were banned for 14 days.

Also something really interesting that I think almost no one knows about because you pretty much had to be a builder at the time to even notice, but Roblox leaked the existence of gear early by adding the option to allow it to place settings before it was even announced.

One of my favorite parts of my roblox experience from 2014 till 2020 were definitely the halloween, olympics, christmas, and easter holiday events. These organized events made me feel like I was taken care of with a summercamp/youthcamp-like program. This made me feel super secure and at ease, while also providing lots of boosts in imagination and adventurous curiosity. It made everybody feel like the roblox experience was tailored to them. The items and badges to be earned from the participating games felt like an all inclusive, community tying, friend bonding, whimsical, mystical dream waiting for you at home after school. I hope that the younger generations get to experience something like this

I remember joining in march of 2013 and the first game i ever played was the egg hunt and man i feel so old! Roblox is way different now and unfortunately it'll just keep getting worse :(

funfact : some revivals have a modified version of a close client like for example novetus modifyed 2007 to be 2006 as the original 2006 client has not been found as im writting this

there’s also something which never gets mentioned because of how niche it is, from about 2010-2016 if you reported a bug to an admin, they may rarely respond and award you a hat, either the MTA Spec Ops hat, or the MTA baseball cap, today the Spec Ops hat has about 57 owners, the baseball version probably under a thousand, one of the rarest hats in the game, it’s a recolor of the “Outrageous Aetherspectacles” hat which was given to BC users, a red and blue version, this would be at the very bottom of the iceberg if it was ever mentioned in these videos!

5:15 I hate that take and have heard it many times in many different scenario's, most of the time it's total BS. Old roblox had a atmosphere of fun, of building whatever you want, and just hanging out with friends. Most games were a lot more simple and that put less pressure on people so they just made simple fun maps that they could RP in or just hang out. Modern roblox games have gotten a lot more complicated, thus you never see anyone just make there house or fun stuff like that anymore. Also the undeniable corporate leaning roblox has swung to has just eroded all the fun stuff, friends are connections, game categories are charts, the logo itself is much less fun and colorful. IT's just so... sterilized of any fun.

I didn’t think you would mention 1x1x1x1 and I haven’t heard of that name in a long time (played from around 2009 to 2011) but I do remember some videos about that account and really believed it was indeed a hacker, didn’t know anything about the other details until now.

i feel like roblox is split into three eras history wise: 2006-2015, 2015-2019, 2019-present
each of these eras have completely different style, culture, and especially games, for ex. fencing, 1x1x1x1, lumber tycoon, john doe, piggy, tubers

I was once this year playing with the roblox websites but i found a roblox forums page.
Although most of the messages were from 2017-2016. I feel like the page is only for developers.
Whatever it is, it is only to be found in the website on chrome and not the application.
