Similarly, I was living with my grandparents during lockdown and my grandma decided to a decluttering of her attic. She found thousands of old photographs and among them was a handwritten letter from my great grandmother’s brother, dated June 1940 - he had just returned to Britain after being evacuated from Dunkirk 🤯 I couldn’t believe my eyes! She then said she remembers him telling the story of how they were being attacked from all angles so he prayed and in Welsh he said “out of nowhere this fog came and covered us so they couldn’t see us as we ran.”

Made sure to take them and got them framed so they don’t end up lost for another 60 years!

North korean isolation isnt completely self imposed. Its basically banned from the world market even if they did want to join it because most countries have an embargo on them. Like with most communist countries theyre not just poor because communism

I don't know where to post this, but I had just watched a Mr. Beat video on "the most average state," posted a comment, got a reply in my alerts to my comment but then when I went to see the reply the screen said, "this is a private video," and I couldn't see it or the comments, and it is not listed in my history. There was actually integrated units in the American Civil War. Korea was the first time since then that the US had integrated units.
