Remember, currency is fictional. I sometimes forget just how good this movie is. The script, the directing, some of the best acting performances of that decade… I think it gets taken less seriously because of all the comedic elements (of which there are a lot), but everything works so well in the movie to tell Jordan’s story. I really believe this movie is on the same level with Goodfellas. It has a similar tone as Goodfellas and borrows some techniques from it, but even still, it is an incredible movie in its own right.
