Hey, Olicia! Great video, I really enjoyed it. Quick question for you. My partner and I are considering spending 3 to 6 months in the Oaxaca area. We’ll both be working remotely, so solid Wi-Fi is a must. We’re not really city people (other than a night or two here and there) and would love to be close to the ocean. Are there any spots you’d recommend checking out?
Cheers,
Colin

Hi, I just stumble upon your channel. I’ve been researching Oaxaca for a long time for years. In fact I was supposed to come a few years ago, but my dad had a stroke…. Then I was supposed to finally get respite in February but he had a fall in late November so life has been really occupying me. I just bought tickets for May and I had no idea that it was gonna be hot as hell.🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️… flying into Oaxaca and flying out from Mexico City, so anyway, I had to scratch my itinerary several times when I found out the weather was gonna be like…. Do you think it’s possible for me to take public transportation from Oaxaca to Santiago apoala… I can’t afford the tours because they want too much money and I don’t speak Spanish. Do you think it will be OK traveling solo and doing public transportation? I would like to stay for two nights mostly because it’s too hot in Oaxaca I will just die there. I was thinking about leaving on a Friday morning and coming back on a Sunday or even buying a $700 peso tour and taking public transportation back myself since the tours are full day. And can we take a public transportation from downtown Oaxaca to villain & zaachila. My entire trip is only eight days and I have to take the bus back to Mexico City so I might stay one night at Puebla and one night at Mexico City. What do you think I guess and then I will come back in the future date and do the stuff I was originally going to do in Oaxaca, but When it’s not sizzling hot (I’m in sf so used to 55* year round) lol

The idea that you should not flush toilet paper in some parts of Mexico is a misconception. While some areas have septic systems that require you to dispose of paper differently, you can flush toilet paper in any location that does not have a sign advising against it.
