Marshal was a brilliant attacker and opening theoretician

— @Kuribohdudalala

Frank James Marshall was the U.S. Chess Champion from 1909 to 1936, and one of the world's strongest chess players in the early part of the 20th century. He was best known for his great tactical skill.

Frank Marshall is my absolute favorite player, he has many Fantastic wins. Its a shame he peaked during the Lasker and Capablanca era. Those 2 were just a class above. His poor results in matches with them makes a lot of people question his strength. However he was with out a doubt in my mind a top 5 player in the world for quite some time. With plus scores in matches against many of the best players in the world. Thanks for shining some light on Frank Marshall !
