This teacher is really trying to teach you how to SPEAK Mandarin, while majority of Chinese teachers just focusing on reading.
but reading and speaking are totally different skills!
And it cause a very weird situation when you know 1000+ Chinese words, you can more or less read texts, but can't say anything apart of 你好 and 谢谢

@glennedward6477Excellent lesson, well done Brice for hanging in there, that was a lot of vocab and sentence structure in one lesson. The beauty of recording it is you can go back over it 'à volonté'. Indeed, IMHO, recorded lessons (whether vids or audios) are the way to go (if you have the time). Having picked 'lanmei' in China, that looked like a grape to me... jiayou!
