I always think gliders cockpits look the most interesting - like Jet Fighters. Possibly because they're both really focussed on minimising drag?

And - let's face it - you'll never have to worry about engine failure. Or maintenance costs.

This pure fantastic gliding flying life and style is still only reserved to people having large finance at disposal, the modern glider computer technology request a lot of preparation, high costly navigation hardware and software and above all free time, equipment, catering, and some budget to over come the costs,...storage of glider, eventually or surely property of glider full equiped, inssurance, cost of logistic team, some cost for towing, some costs for comfortable cool hotels, car 4x4 to remorque the glider and some cost to study and be up to date by training on hyper high performances technics of flying this super computerized gliders and full equiped with specific high performance added applications like metered water ballast, rate of gliding up to 60or more, it is a full long term activity witch needs finance as backup support,...it is a very tiny familly , in average very discrete who can allow this high performance activities, not recommended for whom has to calculate his budget, neither for whom do not get some kind of strong base in this little gliding performance circles,....kind of elite of special kind,.....so simulators or nice clips, like this one, gives a good idea, and do not forget that mountain gliding still remain very dangereous, like Reichmann experienced it in Portugal,.....so every nice coin has his reverse,.... 💰💰💰🦅🦅🦅🍀🍀🍀

oh i MISS it! quit in 2000. work.study.kids. took me 20 not to check the clouds all the time... hoped into a backseat in 2023: its like bicycle riding. you cant unlearn it. saved me. gave me confidence in my self, and trust in others. got a kid? send him gliding... usually from 14 years old. in a club its cheaper per year then going for a ski weekend.

If you don’t have a regular plane with a motor to tow you, can you still fly these? Are these pretty easy to land!? Are they safer than landing regular planes, or do lots of people also die in glider accidents? How much is one of these aircraft?

except it's not really, cause in most countries they will suspend any licenses you have if you do stuff like this without permission. This "can be" gliding, under certain circumstances :) But great footage, nonetheless
