I think there might be a bit too many topics and different things put into one video when you are a totally new player in planet zoo, i think shorter subjects videos with 1 specific thing to do would be a bit better. @deladysigner I noticed that you can switch between stairs and slope paths instantaneously. Are you pressing a hotkey for that?

I think that at 5:29, the movement mode switched from object's axis to global world axis or vice-versa. Four years later, it still happens randomly.

I spent a whole night building an indoor restaurant, mainly trying to figure out how to get a door to fit in a door frame or connect through a wall before finally finding out the doors and windows are decorative only! My vendors inside also had their legs sunk in to the floor 😂 This game was driving me crazy until I realised this.

5:30 that is because local and global movement. it isnt a bug. in certain situations it can be useful
i believe there is a button to toggle between local and global movement but i could be wrong

So I'm new to PZ and have been copying bits I see to get used to how things are made but what confuses me is that my PC version doesn't have 0.5m elevated paths. It only has 1m and they won't create stairs, the 1m only does horizontal paths. Any ideas what is happening?

Wow. I have played Planet Zoo for years, for over 400 hours, and I just now learned about the collision options from this video. I have literally abandoned entire zoos because of how frustrating NOT having these options on was. Thank you

@AstridthechaosbeannI remember few months ago I was soooo frustrated trying to build without the duplicate-move tips, because litteraly I couldn't place things even and I just couldn't make "clean" structures. So I only had zoos that looked like a bunch of ruin, it wasn't bad but I really wanted to make some clean cages for my monkeys, some fences that don't look half broken, y'know :')
@melhaspoortasteThank you so much for your tutorials. I do enjoy Planet Zoo a lot, but the general building (and especially path building) system is so overcomplicated and frustrating, that it was impossible for me to figure it out on my own. I put hours in, to experiment with the structures and paths and yet it never turned out the way it should

@captain4318Bought the game 36 hours ago and the controls (and camera whoa) are really frustrating. Your soothing voice and good pacing is very helpful, and the instructions are marvelous. (i found the two sections to change the keybinds on the camera, but they're not working properly) Anyway, thanks very much and glad to see active players even now. (hahahahaha i bought planetcoaster but it looks like the building mechanics are the same)
