@AngkorAngkor-s7vSoon, in order for drones to be successful, they will have to be hardened against high-powered electromagnetic warfare. The Russian and Chinese saturation approaches - using lots of cheap drones - will not work because land- or sea-based systems will be able to burnout their avionics before they can do any damage.

@samdaw-u8eI think the US is going to be into drone swarms a lot more than you say. You mentioned Perdix but they also have the Replicator program said to launch thousands at a time and be ready in 2025 and companies working on the Hive systemfor launching, recovering, and recharging small drones, making drone swarms more practical on the battlefield.

@turan2815A couple of WW2 gun modified with muzzle velocity radar, EOTS with IRST and Fire control radar was enough to drop over 600 of these Chinese and Turkish drones out of the sky at low altitude in the recent India Pakistan skirmish. That's what innovation is. So even though swarms are like cool stuff, there potential deterrent are already there.
