Best bikes my butt. They are all junk. Expensive doesn't make a good bike. Yeah you need this type of gear to race these days but that doesn't them good. I wouldn't spend one dollar on a carbon bike.

The old steel bikes evoke a different kind of emotion, pretty much like old sports cars. Or even fighter planes. Which is more beautiful, elegant, or graceful, an F-16 or an F-22? The old bikes are arguably more beautiful. I do wonder if the new generation of cyclists who never rode those steel bikes have the same opinion. Perhaps tastes is also a generational matter.
