Trump wasn't taking any jabs at Europe and just said the truth; Yet all these European comments and countries love to immediately take a dump as if they don't depend on us. He all he said was they need to step up their game and start getting things done instead of relying on the U.S. We're not apart of Europe yet we've been committed to Europe all the way through. It's starting to become more parasitic than it is mutually beneficial because it's one-sided. From the outside looking in we can see your issues too!

1. The U.S accounts for most of nato defense spending by a massive margin.

2. The U.S put equal to or more money into Ukraine than all of Europe.

3. Europe has relied on U.S money, weapons and troops, intelligence, etc. for decades.

4. Europe relies on the U.S far more than the U.S does Europe and has failed to stand on it's own and prepare despite nearly a century after World War 2.

5. Ukraine is not a U.S issue however the U.S has been more committed to Ukraine than Europe ever has; We warned them before the war even started btw.

6. The U.S doesn't need Europe yet maintains a one-sided relationship of cat-mouse where lazy and complacent governments like to drag their feet and get things done in order to survive.

7. The U.S still get's trash from allies like enemies that wanna use us because they don't care about our country but it's convenient because they can hide behind us forever.

There was a time when I was naïve enough to believe that the United States was our friend, or at least an ally we could rely on. When the U.S. invoked Article 5 after the attacks of September 11, 2001, I—and countless other European comrades—saw it as our duty to contribute our share. We went to war alongside the United States and lost many good friends in Afghanistan.

But today we also have to recognize that the U.S. government is neither our friend nor a reliable ally. The damage that this government, under Trump and his MAGA cult, has inflicted on this alliance will not be undone in my lifetime. Every sacrifice made in the name of the United States by soldiers of the alliance has been trampled on by this administration.

It is time to leave this alliance behind—or at least to distance ourselves from the United States—and to focus on our true allies.
