When you watch him enough, it becomes clear that like many other hyper stars, he has full field vision beyond belief, and mainly an uncanny ability to glance at one or more defenders and correctly gauge their flux point (for me a flux point is the point at which a defender decides it necessary to make some kind of move), and then to counter that move just as it begins--often making the defenders' brains go haywire trying to figure out what to do. Messi was the same as was Gretzky in hockey.

Football was wayyyy fucking better through the 90s and 2000s. Football is a physical sport, something you should have to endure and get through for 90 mins instead of chilling for 60-70 mins then just banging in a goal and being the ‘hero’ and somehow getting Man Of The match! 😆Football 20-30 years ago was more exciting, had more characters and albeit possibly sub par technical skill, maybe( if knocking it around, doing fuck all for most the game passes as skill 🤨) was way more entertainment. Which is essentially what it’s all about!
