According to our partners at FOX 5 New York, New Jersey's local transit system is confirming that they will charge $150 for round-trip train tickets from New York Penn Station to MetLife Stadium during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This comes as officials unveiled more details surrounding transportation for the tournament this past week. LiveNOWâs Andy Mac is speaking with Sophia Cai, a White House reporter at POLITICO, as a number of cities across the United States begin to speak out against proposed World Cup costs.

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill has recently criticized FIFA over the costs. She said earlier this week that the organization is not contributing enough toward local transportation. "FIFA is providing $0 for transportation to the World Cup. Zero," Sherrill said. "That leaves New Jersey Transit with a $48 million bill to safely get 40,000 fans to and from every game."

There is a very real likelihood of being detained which happened to a New Zealand woman named Sarah Shaw and her six-year-old son at the U.S.-Canada border. Or being questioned, photographed, provide a DNA sample & five years of your social media history to ICE. Or worse, being killed by ICE which happened to Renee Good in Minnesota on January 7, 2026. As a result, many countries that have issued or updated advisories to their citizens regarding travel to the US. The list includes Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal & United Kingdom. Lastly, there is a tourist visa fee of $435 per person plus a new mandatory âVisa Integrity Feeâ of $250. My advice is to fight the good fight & boycott all US products and do not visit the US for any reason. Hurting the US economy is the best

@tatinomichinSince the U.S. is at war with Iran shouldnt they house the Iranian team on military bases in Guantanamo style detention facilities. Allowing them out only to compete then returned to detention. When they have been eliminated from competition they can be escorted to the airport and deported to the nearest country that would accept them.

@juancruz-jg5pqI am in Kansas City. I just now got two tickets on the FIFA resale site for $750 per ticket in the stratosphere of Arrowhead Stadium. Local restaurants are announcing an automatic 18-20 gratuity on all orders. Hotel costs are sky high during the tournament. Parking charges will be through the roof.
I would not be able to afford attending if I was not from Kansas City. But I will say thisâŚKansas City will be a logistical paradise compared to all of the other host States.
Why does America think it's special? All host countries know it's a cash grab that's part of why they give them the world cup.

Ticket pricing, get the Fock outta here. Increase Visa fees in embassies around the globe with no guarantee you won't be sent right back home at immigration and customs. Integrity fees. Deposit fee of up to $15,000 if you overstay even for one day. Merch prices sky high. A country that doesn't let fans from qualified nations enter America.
