Are all the outdoor sound real or generated? because when you walk by people who are talking it seems to distort their sound so you can't always make out what they are saying.

Just leaving this comment as a reminder to my future self what I am working for. One day, I'd like to visit this beautiful city. I don't care how long it takes or how much time I've got to dedicate, I am absolutely determined to spend at least a day here!

FYI for visitors planning a trip and want some non-city adventure ....

Try this: during the summer and on a forecasted sunny day, rent a car and leave Vancouver at 7 am to explore the North Shore. The scenery is splendid and I can't think of any other city that has the same density of attractions.

Set your google map for the following landmarks: Lynn-Canyon (free, unlike Capilano bridge), Cleveland Dam (walk down to the salmon hatchery), Cypress Lookout, Bowen Lookout (nice short hike), Horseshoe Bay (for lunch), Porteau Cove, Shannon Falls, then Squamish for dinner.

Then Murrin Provincial Park for the sunset - it takes 30 minutes to hike to the top, so time your arrival accordingly. Bring a flashlight bc it'll be dark going down. This is my favorite attraction and I reckon 80% of Vancouver residents don't even know of it. You can look up each of those attractions on youtube to gain an idea.

Also...if the highway (Sea to Sky) you’re driving on looks familiar, it’s a really popular highway they use for car commercials. It’s one of the most beautiful in North America.

IMO, this route captures the essence of the West Coast.

Now you have the choice of driving south back to Vancouver or driving north to Whistler, a premium ski resort that is also mountain bike capital of North America. If you drive north to Whistler, then you should stay overnight because it's a lot of driving for 1 day.

From Whistler, you can go hiking at Joffery Lake, Mount Garibaldi or the Chief near Squamish. All 3 are 3 hours up and 2 hours down. You MUST bring water for yourself, because there’s no 7-11 at the top.

If you want to get deals for meals, T&T supermarket starts marking down their sushi from 7 pm. It's not the best but it's decent. If you're in Richmond, the u-pick stalls in the Yaohan mall start discounting their food from 7pm. Normally a platter of food (e.g. sweet and sour pork) might sell for $20, but after 7pm, you can pick up 4 platters for $25.

The reason why they do that? They don't want to store food overnight.

From Vancouver you can also drive south to Seattle and you can visit the Boeing factory, the largest in the world.

I enjoyed watching this video and others, including japan. I'm just starting out with filming my own walking tour videos and hope to do a few in Vancouver this summer. Japan is for sure on my to-do list. I still have lots to learn in terms of filming, finding the right equipment that works for me. Hope to improve on smoother walking and get better equipment for audio. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
