Thanks for all the info. 1 thing that would be an awesome tip is for those who are swim and snorkle challenged but still want to see the ocean species up close there are some companies like the 4 winds that provide kick boards with plexiglass panels so you can put you face into them and just kick around and relax. My husband is a land animal unlike myself so while I snorkled he paddled and LOVED it. That was 30 plus years ago but that was something he remembered. We went to Molokini.

Thank you for all the helpful tips! My husband and I are going to HI for our 10 year anniversary in June, so these videos have been so helpful in planning. Two questions for Erica, one, do you recommend close toe sneakers and if so, what kind? Also, I love the bathing suit at 13:56, can you share which brand/style that is? I've not needed a suit for over 10 years, so any advice on these is much appreciated! Aloha!

It’s not $8000 for a 10 day trip. You can enjoy Hawaii for much less. There are plenty of free or low cost things to do while you are there. It’s not all about excursions and lūʻaus.

Been to hawaii 3 times, the cheapest way is to stay at a friend or family home, rent the cheapest car you can find. Don't pay for car insurance, use a credit card insurance ( amex or capital one ) if you work for Airline, fly there free, dont eat on expensive restaurants, fast food only. Have fun. Go snurkle, hiking, volcano, jungle, caves, manaukea sumit. The best location is Big island. Kona side, 2nd Waikiki that you dont need car rental use bus

Costco travel packages often add little extras that become a big deal at checkout. Like “no resort fee or discounted parking “. I usually do that but last time I didn’t and ended up paying close to $400 on check out due to resort fees

@g.medina3717Very good on the information. Nice job. However... long-time news producer here... the gentleman's enunciation is dreadful. Difficult to understand, speaks too fast, swallows his syllables and garbles his words. Friendly advice: get some voice and diction training. Slow down. The quality of your videos will really improve. Also... no need to do the walking in and out of frame. That is really cheesy and amateurish. Just use visuals as your transition between locations.

@LorraineKaai-zp8jmHi guys, great video, just to mention I’ve booked the Prince Wakikki for July 26, they do offer all food and most drinks if you book a club room which I’ve done, it’s a bit more expensive but worth it my opinion 👍
@Hawaii2222Not a fan of luxery hotels.. we have found condos to work best for us.. need a pool, kitchen and a washer and dryer and we are good.. we arent there to stay at a hotel, we go to explore..

@kevinszymczak4732Condos and apartments are a good way to save money. They tend to be cheaper than comparable hotel rooms. They also are often better for families with extra space and actual bedrooms for the kids. The other part of saving in condos and apartments is you can eat in. We have often gone and eaten breakfast in and made a picnic lunch, then went out for dinner.
Oh, and I love Ian Valley. Great walking, scenery and gardens.
As far as touring, get one (or more) of the many guidebooks to pre-explore and find out which sights you want to see.

@davidwarburton8890For Parking, Park in a neigborhood close by your hotel outside of downtown and take a nice 20-30 min walk back to your hotel. If you do not want to walk you can take an uber from your car or one of the many scooters around the city.

@groupeone23I visited Hawaii in June 2022, flew on Hawaiian Airlines (awesome!), and did the inter-islands cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines Pride of America. It seemed like the best way for my first time experience, and to see multiple islands on my 7-day visit to the islands.
