So sorry for your loss. If you have extra produce that you just don't have time to deal with, talk to your local farmer's market. We would share with our extended family and anything left over would go to the farmer's market. We didn't have to do anything but show up each week to get paid. Our pickling cucumbers and green beans would sell out fast. A recipe idea for your slicing cucumbers is to peel and cut them in half and then cut them up, then cut up tomatoes and put them all in a bowl with a few big spoonfulls of mayo ( I use Miracle Whip) and then put it in the fridge overnight. It helps to stir it a few times. It goes great with grilled chicken or anything grilled.

At 1:34 in the video, the hose bib shows a pressure regulator upstream of a water timer. The pressure regulator should be downstream of the timer because the regulator is not designed for constant pressure. I see there is a space problem on the four-way splitter, but maybe you can just get a four port timer and simplify the setup. Best wishes.

@notmyemergencyTomatoes at the store aren't necessarily picked totally green - they're usually picked at blush, just like you do. However, because they're gassed to turn that pretty red, it's difficult to tell if they're actually ripe or not. If you purchase them knowing they are actually green and need to sit on the counter at least a week, they do actually ripen. Some require two or three weeks, which seems silly considering they're already red, but they were likely just barely blushed. I get that it's marketing, but it's so misleading and makes ripeness checks hard! Feels very counterproductive as a consumer. 😒
