How come i'm not seeing these ads to listen to people music... who is taking out ads for a song? That just seems ridiculous.. advertising is free by making SM posts.

If your spending 2 million on ads... you better be making millions. From what I see you dont look or sound like a millionaire, even if I dont know what that should look like anyways.
A million is not wasting the time on YT trying to teach others... they are too busy doing it or out on vacations.
5:09 more then one ad impression to convert.
Don't you think the company knows this and can make you spend more money by using the Ai algorithm ad to send to people that dont convert. So you gwt charged more ad fees... the Ai is way smarter then you think. And can run the analysis of how much money it can suck from you before you cancel then sends a few high converters so you dont cancel the ads...
Like a casino slot machine is programmed like that.
Ai is this smart so it sucks as much money as it can from you.

yo andrew! i just started trying ads again after 4ish years. thinks look good starting out, but i'm getting this heavy advice on there after a few days saying "Combine similar ad sets impacted by fragmentation to help get more engagement"
-i have 4 diff audiences for my 4 ad sets (alternative/emo/metalcore/paramore). additionally, meta is not using my full budget everyday, and saying it's hard to find bids because of the fragmentation i guess...
-do you suggest culminating all the ad sets into 1? i have a ~17 cents cost per result which i think is really good, but not if meta doesn't want to spend my budget on anything if it's confused!

Bro let me be honest with you, I saw your band Every Waking Moment around the internet. well, you are really good guys, and youre sound amazing and for people like me it should be an easy fit. however, comparing your spotify numbers to instagram and youtube.. that's isn't looks good at all, didn't see even one live show of you guys. Obviously youre a pro in terms of ads campaigns etc.. but I assume that even if this is your main job and your goal is to get as much customers as you can, you should at least from time to time to post a disclaimer that good numbers on spotify is not everything, achieving great cost per conversion is nice but shouldn't be your main goal as a musician. If your spotify page is not reflect your real value, what is the purpose than? don't get me wrong, I really am appreciate you as a musician and as a marketing guy, but your band Every Waking Moment is a good lesson of how artists should not spend money - don't try to reach numbers of sharks if you are still nice fish (not performing, not having real audience). split your budget, instead of %100 meta ads for spotify, go for %40 spotify, %25 youtube, %10 social, and %25 for real life activity.
And most important and above all - improve your music, don't try to sound like your references - this is the main reason of not getting real audience, no matter how the production is professional.
Much love man

We love your content and watch your videos very often. Thank you. However, today our Meta account was shutdown violating their integrity policies. We suspect we modify our ads too often or that we don't post organically on their Facebook platform.

Hey Andrew i had a quick question. I just put more money into a successful campaign i did months ago and for some reason on the first day (today), it only boosted one out of the 3 videos. I will be waiting to see what happens but im concerned bc the other vids were doing better than this one in terms of conversions. Don’t know why it’s not boosting the other videos at all but it’s annoying. Hopefully just a weird start 🤞

Hello Andrew please forgive me if this is a very dum question.. Why do we need to design a landing page? Yes, I know we want to measure conversions, and the experience of directly sending the user to open another app spotify etc doesn't feel right from a UX aspect, but we already put a "listen now" button in the ad. Instead of taking two steps on the path to conversion, what if it went directly from the ad to the stream? Or what am I missing, what exactly is wrong? Thanks a lot.

Andrew can you please do a video on how to fix a campaign when you get a high bounce rate on the landing page (like below 40% click through rate). Thanks!

If anyone here, knows how to do a Sales Campaign, and still do manual placements please let me know
@bennyl.5How broad should targeting be now? Should it just be "Spotify" under detailed targeting?
@wavesonwavesmusicThanks so much for all the help Andrew. I’ve had almost all my campaigns have a cpc of .20-.30
I’d be outta here if I had real budget haha
The thing about putting "part of the song" in the ad, is that Meta has a broad license allowing them to use your content for their own purposes (including crating "derivative works" so, I' highly reluctant to put "part of my song" in Meta's ads.
@gemplatethe thing that $2 million in ad spend probably makes clearest is that you are not buying growth - you are buying signal. if the song resonates, the algo takes over and your cost per stream drops naturally. if it does not, you are just renting attention that evaporates the moment the budget stops. the distinction most people miss is the gap between a song good enough to click and a song good enough to save. CTR optimizes with better creative; save rate only improves by going back to the studio. most artists conflate those two problems and throw money at the first one when the actual bottleneck is the second.
@ulisesjohnson3433Got everything setup and have a great ad running @ 15 cents per conversion..... and now I cannot view ads manager.... 😂🤦♂️🤦♂️ its a blank page.
@nicanthony7062I have a question though. If you got all those views and spent that money to get the ads going, was the money coming in bigger than the money going out?
@maxscialdone4572Our career has grown because of you, THANK YOU SO MUCH, for all your content. ❤
@ourdividemxI became famous without ads. Paying for promotion sometimes feels like paying for love when you're young
@luxferremusicHi Andrew! any chance of you talking about the distributor that you use? I'm using oneRPM and I feel they're paying me a low amount per stream, so I'm thinking about migrating but I'd like to hear about your opinion
@AmauryCastilloOf the musicians I know, only 5% (and likely even fewer) would be willing to delve into these charts. 🤣🤣
Thank you for sharing this information!👍
does anybody here actually make consistent money from their music?
Cause I'm starting to genuinely wonder whether or not this shit is worth it or gonna work
Hi, if the budget is too low for the ad set, could that be why the cost per result is high? When you don't get a good result, do you create a new campaign or make changes within the existing one?
@eliziacarvalho7006Question to artists and music marketers here: what kind of ROAS have you seen with paid ads from streaming revenue?
@SatilamusicI think you meant 'further exacerbated' 🙂
@AThousandHillsI don’t really understand spending ten thousand dollars to advertise when most artists don’t really even make $10,000 on their music.
@perielWhen you say ‘pick a winner’ it would be great to have a video just on that, let’s assume the ad is working, what metrics in Spotify are the signs you look for, plays per listens? Algo plays being a certain % of your streams? Next video for you?
@signposttosanityThat background music is really annoying, I mean VERY annoying, I love your content but I was almost muting and going over to captions to avoid it, a failed experiment if you ask me, but always enjoy what you have to say 👍
@signposttosanityGreat video!
@MusicMoneyMakeoverWho the hell has the money for this?
@wagner594Hi Andrew, I’m not sure if you’ll see this or not. I’ve watched most of your videos over the last 2 years and have been a part of your Spotify course. I’ve been writing electronic music for 15 years now and released a song 9 days ago. It’s the first song I’ve released in 2 years and the first I have ever run ads to.
I spent a lot of time trying to match the right part of the song with the video creative etc.
I’m running my ads to only Tier 1 countries and am getting between 0.05c to 0.08c per click. It’s mind blowing! My streams are now nearly 50% coming from the Spotify algorithm and the largest traffic source is from USA.
I just wanted to say we all appreciate your advice so much! 🧙♂️🙇🏻♂️
Next time please show data only on the right side of the screen, so it wont disturb my view to the eurorack... 😑
@greencontactI dig this cat Andrew. He thinks like an engineer that is an artist. Bravo
@Fab450sWhy is there comedy music in this?
@AutozammNZThank you very much for this new video, Andrew! I am observing that on some days I get a lower CPR on the Meta side, but also a lower CTR on SubmitHub for the same date or vice versa. How is this to be explained?
@LineInSpatialRecordsLoved the content bro thanks! but I have a question, I can't promo my song cause it says that is copyright material, how can I make my ads even with that? I used an allowlist on my distro and the send me its now my meta perfile on the allowlist but I can't still run ads.. any way to solve this? Thanks from mexico
@EmilioTerceroiiiAndy you are rich.
@dejib.3930I've got a track that is my best performing song. But the algorythm hasn't pushed it yet.
@nickhoweukYou have 87.5k followers on this platform alone. I assume a bulk of them run music ads. There are 500k songs uploaded to spotify every day, only going to get more in volume with AI generated songs. My question is, at what point are we at critical mass and saturation to the extent that too many people are running ads, and the only people it really benefits are Meta who are selling them.
@grantmorrissmusicthat intro is sick af bro 🤣
@LukeBergsHi, Andrew! Thanks for another great video!
Quick question about testing creatives in Meta ads:
If I want to test a new video for the same track, is it better to
- duplicate the ad inside the existing ad set and replace the video
or
- create a new ad set for that video?
And in what situations would you start a completely new campaign instead?
Hey Andrew,
Weird video idea, but since I'm running Meta ads I get a disgusting amount of phishing emails and spam calls. Maybe you could do a video on how you can best protect your account.
Man, this META is getting super rich on this shit. haha
@SysBashLove the new intro.💪🏾🤣 🔥🔥
@MckayworldLiked the intro! Also the BG music was a nice touch
@the_DistortionistThank you so so much for this!
@wholeapproachwellnessThis made me wonder how different types of visuals actually convert. I mean there are tons of ways to create 15–30 second “micro music video” moments, but I’m curious which styles consistently perform best in terms of engagement and getting people to actually check out the song. Are there like, certain formats that often convert better than others, like simple performance clips on the mic, lyric-style visuals, live instrument accompaniment while the artist performs, or something else? After the song and execution of it is great ofc. I guess it could also come down to genre too for example, an on the mic performance from a rapper might convert better than say, a lyric video, which may work better for a pop or rnb or rock artist or band, depending on the song. I mean, obviously try both cause you don't know, but still.
