What Happened to Athens?! 🇬🇷

Video Overview & Insights

We have arrived in Athens, Greece for the first time. Athens has been a bucket list destination for both of us for years now, but what Athens has become is a depressing melting pot of chaos and desperation combined with flashy tourist hotels and cafes.

Certainly there’s still an abundance of spray paint in Athens. Is that true for the Parthenon as well?

Ironically enough, ANTIFA are the FASCISTS, just like their woke "progressive socialist" leaders. Canadians claim that Trump is a "fascist", despite the fact that Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau literally acted like fascists during COVID. Talk about gaslighting!

Athens was the first European city where I saw someone doing drugs in broad daylight on the pavement. And I've been to Paris and London. That said, all three felt unsafe, give me Prague, Bratislava, Sofia, etc. any day!

If you watch their entire videos, rather than just a portion of it or react simply to the title, you will find that they are fair with their coverage. They tell you which neighborhoods they're walking through and give you the good and bad highlights of each. Of course, every city has good parts along with their bad areas. If you don't live in NYC or L.A., you might think that the entire city is a shithole. But the problems that they highlight usually stem from illegal immigration or "asylum seekers" who go out of their way to settle in the west so that they can go on the government dole. Once there, they literally and figuratively trash entire neighborhoods, often selling drugs and stolen merchandise on city streets. Liberal or "progressive" policies are to blame for this mess, and the EU along with the UN's Agenda 2030 promotes this BS. Hungary and Poland get fined millions of Euros for not taking in their "quota" of "migrants" or "asylum seekers". Yet they would rather pay the hefty fines than open up their borders!

What is this aura of doom about Athens? Yes, after 15 years of illegal immigration and financial crisis, a part of downtown Athens is very rundown and ugly. But that's about one square and 20 streets, it's not the entire city. Although I do believe Omonia square should change, I don't believe in alarmism. Every major city has areas like Omonia all over the world

Here's the situation about the main issues you've experienced:

First and foremost, we work the time you took the video. That's the main reason you don't see Greek people. We don't take the roads expecting the government to send us a cheque. Just search images from Athens up until 2005. You'll realize how unrecognizable the city was in comparison to today. The further back you go, the better. Thank Zeus I'm northern Greek and this circus hasn't reached my city to this point. The first guy who said, "people not good," as a Greek I couldn't imagine anyone characterizing us like that, before. We helped them as much as we could. There were cases a grandma in one of our islands, she would put in her house migrants to feed and let them sleep while at the morning, they were stealing her house. Harassing our women everywhere shamelessly, taking pictures at the beaches, they killed a Polish girl (we got him), they left a Greek girl paralyzed after rping them and many similar paradigms. You need to remember; they perceive our politeness as a weakness. But when European countries give them free money, what do you expect? We're only 9 million people while they haven't stopped coming since 2010 in waves. In a while, even way richer European capitals will feel it, trust me. At least, we took our drastic measures. Better late than ever. As we speak, our digitized wall is being doubled in size. Equipped with night vision cameras, night-vision drones, night-vision googles. Gen 4 sensors we created in-house which have been adopted by the entire NATO. All guided via a single command center. This allowed us for much better allocation of precious human resources.

The patrols on the sea have been tripled. Our efforts finally came to fruition, albeit "a little" late. Europe behind closed doors gave us the "OK." Otherwise, they'd be dragging us to courts. Now, the routes of western Asians are either from Turkey directly to Italy or from Turkey to Bulgaria or the most used one, from Turkey to Libya and then, Italy. In the meantime, the Turkish mafia drain them penniless. They say it themselves; they want to reach your capitals in northern Europe. Then your states start giving them immediately benefits, from fresh cash to houses while neglect the natives. Beyond absurd. Athens is no exception. We just make it harder. We temporarily suspended asylum from the non-war-torn countries. Those who get caught face two options. Either straight to jail or take a few cash, get in a plane and return whence you came from. If only more southern European countries could get similar drastic measures.

About your food, it's "yee-ros," right. The Americans use the Greek word but sounds the worst. "Yeeroskopio" is the instrument which turn analogous to your position, like, in an airplane. I happen to be combat planes engineer in our Greek Air-Force. Also, the first one on your plate, one of our specialties are far away from being "kebabs." I swear, to this day I don't have a clue what the Turks call "Kebab" or what's exactly. One thing I'm certain of, it's not pork since Islamic people don't eat it. It's our version of Swedish meatballs made out of beef, just in different shape. Like our beefs our children always chose in a tavern. You can never go wrong on our meatballs shaped like a cigar or a more American way of a burger. You should have put a little lemon all over your plate at the start. Just a tip. Just don't overdo it.

Lastly, mate, you went to the worst municipality in the country, every Greek knows about it. Tourists get notified to avoid this particular one. The only sad is our Omonia Square, recently innovated for openness, but again it filled with migrants. Take care of yourself. The tourists are safe. The routes they take are well guarded by the tourist police. Then, easily get to an island or our famous island-hopping, spending a day or two to different islands. As for the abandoned buildings, go see how much money we spent to renovate our most esteemed architecture, but as you can imagine, they're situated far away from this madness.

P.S. Please, don't insult us like that. The statue you've seen was one of our latest Greek heroes of 1821, during the war for freedom when we destroyed the Ottoman Empire twice. He went inside the Turks, he made a Pasa adopt him like a son while he was feeding information to the most secretly resistant organization created in Russia by Greeks, the "Philiki Eteria". 'Cause of him we knew too much. He took a bullet by the Turks but thankfully wasn't fatal. 'Cause of him after finally we acquired the loan we needed from England and France, we started ambushing them en masse. They never suspected him until the end when he took his well-deserved position amidst our ranks. He's dressed like that for the reasons I mentioned. We try to present our history as accurately as we can. However, calling him an Ottoman is like a dagger in a heart of a Greek. Of course you're excused, you couldn't have known.

Issues of Athens and Greece have long politoeconomical roots inside and outside the country that long predate the EU and the Euro.... Some of them got worsened through the later others simply couldn't be sufficiently addressed (as initially hoped) or got transformed to other type of issues....

This is what I mean. The world doesn’t care how good you are- only if you win. Your honesty won’t protect you, it will make you predictable. While you are busy doing the right thing. They are doing the necessary thing. ( I’ve learned enough- I was hurt and drowned in Pain- So I am valiant enough and no one can fool and wheedle me again- Loyalty is Rare so Am I now. I don’t care too- I don’t give too much care on someone now. You care too little You Lose them You care too much you get Hurt. So I live the way I am now as transparent. I don’t expect things or rely any words again- Words Can Poison 😳 so be careful. Trust no one even your own shadow 😳. Never give too much care on someone so you won’t be able to stand the pain when they start ignoring you....

The new movie the odyssey with its ridiculous casting is symbolic(intentionally) of Europe today being over ran with people from many other countries, and yes the same people who run Hollywood are the ones doing this as they run the EU and Britain. They even say it strait, it’s payback for 109 countries.

I absolutely love your work have seen most of your videos. I am from Greece and have lived my whole life in Athens. The city center is truly a hellhole no doubt about it. Fortunately that's only a small part of the city but it's disheartening to see. Overall although it sounds strange Greece is still 97-98% white. Greeks constitute 91% of the population and another 7% are mostly Albanians and some Bulgarians. Most of the illegal migration is consetrated there in the center of Athens though and it has made the city center very ugly. Every kind of prostitution, drug trafficking etc takes place there. What has saved Greece from becoming like France or Belgium at large is that most people who entered from outside of Europe didn't stay. That happened because of our economic problems, unique language barrier and hostility from the locals. Greeks become very hostile when they hear about accepting Muslims for permanent stay and greek governments tried to capitalise on this by banning Islamism like for example closing all the mosques they could find. I am afraid for the future of Europe as a whole. I wish you the best and I will keep watching your videos

Edit: that observation you had torward the end that there are only male migrants it true I have searched it a lot. 95% of them are males. Many of them are here to work some live off benefits but the vast vast majority are passengers going to western Europe

Greece is in the minority of european union countries not condemning the Palaistinian genocide. Goverments have pursued an alliance with Israel since they are "enemies" with Turkey.

You're pronouncing gyros perfectly my friend. Also, like 80-90% of modern day turkey used to be greek, there are greek names for numerous villages and cities there because they were greek, from ancient times and Byzantium as well. Eg Smirni for Izmir and Alikarnassos for Bodrum. That's why all the similarities of them with us greeks today, such as in food, music, etc
Many ancient greek tribes actually came from asia minor, like the Ionians, which was filled with greek colonies in ancient times.
Thank you for your report. Im sorry that you witnessed parts of the ugly side of our capital, it's part of the general decay and degradation of Europe nowadays.. main reason is that we ve been governed by traitor to their people and country politicians for the last 60 years. Greece is runed by international capital and cartels puppeteers of policians

I remember last time in Athens, I visited a bar near my hotel and was treated like dirt. I asked the waitress why she was acting this way and she blamed me on the spot for the country's economic situation. From then on I decided not to bother with the country anymore or the people of Greece.

Its not only Greece. Its all Europe. Why you are so surprised! France is black, England is Asia and all these ruled by Germany, England, France Spain. So leave us alone to our problems and if you are disappointed from Greece dont come over again. We will have more water to drink in Athens and more houses to rent for our families.
