Who are the world’s best Risk players? In this elite Grandmaster showdown, four of the top-ranked Risk: Global Domination pros clash in a Fixed Classic Masterclass to prove who truly masters the board. If you want to play like a Grandmaster, watch this! I join one of Champ's community games with two other top players, Cosmic Cowboy and Parlox.
I play a lot Lux Deluxe on Steam. This game looks interesting too. Where can I join?
I'm very excited to present this game for all of you. Champ, Parlox and Cowboy are each amazing Risk players on their own and this grouping was sure to be an epic game. I learned something about each of them.

Presuming everyone plays optimally, someone will get a small advantage by chance and develop it into a win over a long time..
This is because the other players will be as difficult as possible to overcome.

Ok, so I have a question. My friends and I have been playing since HS (and we are in our 40s), we always play the strategy "never let anyone else get a continent bonus" and do everything we can to prevent them. Temporary alliances are formed and then broken just to end bonuses. For the first 10 or so turns of the game, there is rarely a bonus aside from maybe Australia, but the other three players will literally take turns ganging up on whoever has Australia to end their bonus, with the first person weakening them a bit, the second more, and then the third ending it. This usually means the player thats the most aggressive is the first out. Is that not the normal strategy? I see you are just letting eachother have bonuses, which is so foreign a concept to me...but then again, our games can go 2+ hours because so little headway is often made with no bonuses and cards not helping a ton until quite a few rounds...

The same thing that happens when four idiots play: luckiest guy wins. It's cute that you think this is a strategy game at anything beyond the most basic level.

Here is champ's version of this game:
You got some bad rolls, but you made a major mistake by leaving open Africa mid game. You over extended yourself in Europe while leaving Africa open for a large stack in South America. He was very clearly going to wreck you there. I was scratching your head for why you left your flank open like that.
Haven't played the board game in years. But Europe is very hard to hold. The GM who ended up there was pretty much screwed. I played South America as it had two choke points and two easily expandable continents. You could hold both by stacking all your troops in Mexico and North Africa. Which denies those to other players. If Europe looks like it's going one way you move up and just take a territory then return. Australia is never as good of an option as you have a single choke point, but you're only option is Asia.
So allowing South America to go to red was your first mistake. It's much more valuable than Africa due to ease of holding.

@krispylalaCowboy is terrible. Not deserving of Grandmaster.
@seanmcguire717511:00 why didnt he use the "that land is promised for me" card before losing
@ab-x01Fixed placement is weak, I want to know what your willing to fight for before we even draw blood 😂.
@maxfanin1792You had me till somebody started botting. I didn't click on a video featuring "4 grandmasters" to watch a bot play. I'm out.
@Whisper0akHad to stop watching because of the constant nose sounds
@Erilan5Best possible way to win this game is to prevent other players to win without weaken youresef to much, and always somme luck with the dices.
@peterderidder9922Why didn't you took the opportunity to take blue out at 10:22 getting 20 on the middle east should get blue? With the 3 extra cards for the kill you could possible change into troops (with a bit of luck even ten) to secure Middle east again and even transport some of north asian troops down. as well so you not get countered from purple if he decides to break into africa.
To just attack in the round blue with 5 stationed troops is just wasting? And gives purple a better EV+ play to kill blue.? What was the background or your thinking or was it a mistake?
You just could have take out spain without loosing troops to get your card for the round.
This was my favorite game as a kid
@YallquietendownGg I enjoyed it

@locky7347So... I've played 1,066 hours played. I've reached expert 3 times. I'm currently on beginner. This is also the first time that it occurred to me that there are grandmasters who stream... Is it normal to put in as many hours as I have and (quite apparently now) suck as bad as I do?
