me who casually 100% completes new super mario bros wii, super mario galaxy 2, and super mario 3d world by mself multiple times for fun, currently struggling on bowser's fury watching it be called the easiest one on the list like
i dont think my brain is built for open world type games
also as someone who also played new super mario bros ds, maybe it's just cause i was younger the last time i played it and 100% it and ive since played wii's way more often and more frequently, but you cannot convince me that nsmbds is easier than nsmbwii

I find it funny that you mentioned that you'd beat a game as a kid do it must not be that hard, then ranked Mario 2 and 3 very high. That just seems odd to those of us who beat those games as kids, you know?

I want to point out that 3D world requires you to beat every level with every character for 100% completion. So while Peach and Rosalina are a bit stronger you still need to win everything with the other 3

NSMB2 is extremely controversial because it is SO EASY the easiest of all I’ve played however the DLC & special world saves it from complete nothingness

This made me feel old. I played mario bros 3 as a kid so hearing you say new super mario bros was a game you played as a kid floored me 😅. BTW super mario land 1 on the gameboy was LIT when it came out. We couldn't believe we had a mario game in our hands when that dropped
@scottbeech9534I could not begin to lump the 2D mario games along the 3D one, but i am very very happy that we can agree that Mario Sunshine is basically the hardest 3D mario game with unfair levels of difficulty and confusion to 100% the game

@geekbyhart1004This probably doesn't count, but Super Mario World 2 is a really difficult Mario game. Not only are you trying to beat a level, but you are trying to prevent a baby from being kidnapped.

@whitethunder9064I personally find 3D Land more difficult than Wonder or 64 (I 100%ed both) because I'm half blind of one eye and struggle too much to measure the depth with a small resolution and no camera movement.
And yes, 64 would be way easier with a good camera. I hope some day we get a 64 version that has good controls. Grew up with the DS remake and that also has horrible controls.
So I think you should bring up the console as something to consider because the wiimote is not to be messed with. My hand hurts, I feel it. ( I replayed NSMBW like 2 hours ago so I know what I'm talking about )

@AceMonkey-_-Super Mario Galaxy 2s Burning Upside Dizzy Boxes killed me. I spent 4 hours just sitting there trying to beat the hellish 20 second challenge for that star. 😊
@SwanGuzzlerI think for the most part I somewhat agree with this ranking but 3d world is just way too high on this list. While yes, champions road is difficult, as long as you take a tanooki leaf or just peach in general then the speed boost section becomes a breeze. The rest of this game is very straightforward. (Including world star, mushroom, and flower - most of the levels are just shorter versions of the original levels found in the first 8 worlds). Personally I'd put it somewhere in the 2 star range if not 1, maybe 18th or 17th place.
