What locals ACTUALLY recommend — and tourists miss

Janek, I must thank you for your Prague videos! They're fun to watch and super helpful. We watched loads of your videos during our family's recent trip to Prague, and we all walked to see many of the locations you showed. I really appreciate the work you put in! For anyone going to Prague, watching a load of your videos is a must! Thank you!

I know some people that will visit Prague in a few weeks, they will live in Vinohrady and they found a few restaurants for dinner in the evening, but I've told them about plenty of the restaurants that you and Honza have been showing in your videos, and they will definitely watch some of the food related videos to find a place to eat when they are walking around the city. :D

I think America has a different standard of what a palace ‘garden’ is. Biltmore, governors palace, house of burgesses, Arlington cemetery (it’s a garden to me; tons of fresh flowers and so many of our fallen soldiers hundreds (more than 100) of years back.

Sunken gardens, botanical gardens…. We have more from mid Atlantic to the southern USA that supports serious gardens.

Speaking of the Czech army… when can we get the Bren 3 in America? No one’s buying firearms and everything’s ultra cheap because our president makes citizens feel safe and most citizens own firearms by now.

But people with what we call real money will buy those CZ Bren 3’s up in a heartbeat. I would.

Maybe one thing worth noting is the elephant in the room regarding Prague "Castle" There really is no castle there. There is a cathedral there but no castle. LOL

I don't know why the fact that the right side staircase leads to a dead-end, instead of also leading up to the landing, irritates me this much...

You are really doing great, to actually have a great time in your country. I love the approach you have to stuff. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

The difference between a tourist and a "traveller" or what you will, is that tourist wants to see the famous spots and take photos, but the latter wants to see the story behind it and the culture itself. You don't need to go to tourist traps to see and feel that.

My last time there (2021), we ate in the courtyard of St. Martin (yum) and visited the gardens below the castle (gorgeous). They weren't crowded then, either!
