Ever since I first heard about the Masters of the Universe live-action movie, I was wondering what Skeletor would look like. I mean it is really a gamble with a character like Skeletor, isn’t it? On one hand you might want to retain the goofy and light-hearted character from the 80s cartoon, and on the other hand you might try to turn him into someone sinister who needs to be taken seriously. When it was revealed that Jared Leto was cast for the role of Skeletor, there was a strong buzz among the fans, largely because of some controversies surrounding the actor. Even before people saw the teasers and trailers, they were quick to jump the gun and point fingers at the director Travis Knight for his casting choice. However, now that we are at the doorstep of the worldwide release of the movie on the 5th of June, the early reviews are already out, and almost each one of them is appreciative of his performance.. In this video, I will focus purely on the performance of Jared Leto as Skeletor and how it stands out, and this will be an unbiased take while ignoring the controversies.
The mindscape-psychic-attack by Skeletor on Adam in their climactic fight was worth the price of admission. I thought Adam had gone to Hell for a few moments.
I haven't laughed so much in a long time, and I haven't spent a dime in a theater in over 6 years (Joker and Alita) but I am glad I saw the film.

@reddykatrinaJust saw it today and didn't even know Jared Leto was playing Skeletor. Idk how I missed it as I am a big Jared fan, his acting and 30STM. While I was watching it, I was trying to place the voice and couldn't believe it was him! He absolutely nailed it. He was such a cool ass bad guy. Absolutely loved it. I loved him as Joker too. He truly is one of the greatest actors.

I don't have any bad words about Leto previous movies or roles... He has a unique thing about his acting... Many hate his joker but, I like the way he combined the joker's intelligence and insanity... Also people hate Morbius but I can't imagine anyone else in that role...
