1 in 4 boomers own more than 1 house. Corporations own houses, and financial firms own houses. Half of the under supply is all Air B&Bs. Average first time home buyer is 40 years old. 40 years old is considered geriatric for having a baby. Cost of rent , and house prices, is caused by a monopolies of homes owned by all the entities with all the money, because they were attracted to buy up the housing market due to 20 years of low interest rates. Half of the under supply of housing is just sitting empty, not being lived in full time. People can not raise a family living in a tent in the woods. If you want people to start families, then pass laws that force hedge funds, corporations, and financial institutions to sell all the homes they bought. Housing need to be a roof over your head, not investments. Otherwise low birth rates, will make the housing market end up in oversupply anyway 20 years from now. Who you going to sell your extra houses to, if they were never born? Who are you going to rent your extra houses out to, if they were never born? Houses are not good long term investment if it causes birth rates to drop, because of bubbles formed from speculators.

We left mn in 2022 after 33 years of living in mn because it no longer felt like the mn government cared about the actual taxpayers. They seem to only care about people who don’t contribute much to the health and growth of Minnesota. The taxes are way too high for what taxpayers actually get for their money. Hell, they don’t even respect taxpayers enough to manage the money properly.

I used to brag about mn education, medical, cleanliness, safety, etc. All of the things I used to brag about got way worse until those things were no longer a standout for the state.

The Covid lockdown was also over the line. We now live in AZ and this state is benefiting from all of me and my wife’s hard work. We both have MBA’s and are very skilled. All my retirement money is now here so I never have to pay mn state tax.

The democrats ruined MN. They just try to bully everyone into going along with their ridiculous agenda. They call you names if you push back, so who needs it. I’m glad we are out of mn. Our local government in az does a ton for people that actually pay taxes. If you are moderate or conservative, you need to get out of mn. They’ll just bring another minority group in so democrats can stay in power and ruin the state for good.

She’s right about the size of immigrant families. Most immigrants who are doing well financially have a maximum wage of 2 or 3 children and this will even drop further over time. In most cases big family sizes is tied to poverty than race.

I would say it’s more because of Minnesota being a Tax Hungry State!! I am 64, lived in Minnesota all my life, but I am looking at other States to move to that are not taxing on every little thing! Most of the retirees that I know are or have already moved to better states, that are affordable to live in!

It would be a better place if the majority of folks were expected to support themselves and their families. IMO Taxes are high because not only are the tax dollars going to support the Freeloaders, but these Freeloaders are not contributing any Tax dollars to the State. Commonsense isn't Common in MN Government.

Just say that you are justifying reasons not to comply with and that you've been importing mass amounts of people illegally. Some of these are actually taking jobs that native Minnesotan citizens need. While others are living entirely off of Minnesota's most extensive amounts of welfare programs in the country. All of the people who are simply here are just taking advantage of the system are resulting in higher taxes for average Minnesota citizens who are getting taxed out of their homes. Some FOIA requested financially just came out. In 2026 Ramsey County property taxes are going up to 10%. Massive amounts of people are going to lose their homes because you would rather charge struggling legal Minnesotans to get everything for free. $42 million of property taxes going to 210 different NGO'S. Not for fire departments, police, infrastructure ect. It's been exposed in Minnesota oversight that the majority of money that goes to NGO'S are fraudulent, no services ever provided for the money, money laundering, etc. This is a result of years of "progressive" bowing to and supporting DSA policies while pretending to claim that they are even democrats. Your own policies are not even liberal.
