Cement was only invented in the early 1900s. How did they manage to get so much cement, take the time to cure it, and there be no photos of this amazing engineering feat? The graffiti lets us know it was there in the early 1920's but where did all the cement come from, where are the pictures of the massive hole, and construction? Something is not adding up. I am completely surprised at this underground cement cavern.

@onefish26Did you mean the water table is high?
@bobbysenterprises3220I just heard on the news today, that there is a cathedral under the Lincoln Memorial. Thanks for the in-depth tour!
@ramcharger8981Wow! I hvent seen a video from you teo in a few years. 😮👍
@mattnobrega6621Why the basement is the question
@mikeklinger1712There are underground rivers through DC
@ocsrcThe city dates back before the Civil War.
There are mine shafts and tunnels that linked the WH and other sites, before they were memorials.
Those tunnels still exist
Just destroyed years of stalactites
@ThisTablet-bf8obLoony liberals complaining about breaking the stalagmites. He just said they come in here and wash everything lol. Only loony liberals would complain about something redundant lol 😆
@kgb1982Obnoxious and Obnoxious Jr.
@MondoMiamiThe big question is why isn't there a solid base under the monument. The space under It doesn't appear to be used for anything
@clarkfischer3906I never knew there was an "under" the Lincoln Memorial . Always thought it was just a solid foundation .
@Brett33It's a shame that the newest pennies don't have the memorial (with a tiny Lincoln statue inside) on the reverse.
@tomward876Great stuff, you two!!! Thanks!
@charlesjohnston1506Yo I got a weird one for you. I want to see “Baby Formula” being made. I get like Baby Formula?! Well I can find videos of nukes, inside subs heck shots of AREA 51. Baby formula nothing but AI SLOP. Is Soylent baby a thing? Please remove my fears of feeding babies to our babies LMFAO.
@ElBeardo81that’s awesome, father son team is fantastic.
yes lincoln is in springfield. go there. you walk around and behind and they’re there too. and check the other one south. visit kentucky, illinois, and indiana, all lincoln country. i’m glad i did. woulda been great to do that with my kid, but he was laying in a coma after high school bullies rear ended him into a guard rail on sangamon creek entering athens, go there, they tried to put my kid in the ground there, there’r killers amongst them.
not unlike the john ford film that crosses that same creek, into town where lincoln began his law career. where ann rutledge lived and died. go there. i did, i’m glad i did. i hadn’t seen my son in eight years, now he hasn’t seen me in ten. of all the justice in this country there isn’t any for us. but i’m proud to know about lincoln.
Do we know why this exists? Doesn't seem necessary...🤔
@BykoRocksI am surprised that the Park Service allowed them to touch the stalactites.
@johnemert3718Very cool. Thank you.
@brandonpeters1859This area was briefly open to the public several years ago. It is far more massive than you might imagine.
@gtlfbOn Feb 12, 1914 here in Toledo Ohio, We can proudly say we Brought you contractor M. F. Comer, a Contractor From Toledo, and resident member of the memorial's commission. 🙏🏻🇺🇲
Just showing some Pride for my city.
Pretty douch move destroying the stalactites.
@sesquivel729That episode of American Dad lol
@rachael1445Who let this dweeb and his kid run around underneath this thing unsupervised? Touching the drawings and breaking a stalactite? THIS is why we can't have nice things.
@DavidPorter-k8n2:12 that graffiti is probably from the 50s or 60s because graffiti hasn’t been a thing since the 60s
@Godplex99Just visited - the basement area is undergoing a major renovation scheduled for completion in 2026 - part of a larger initiative to improve the visitor experience, transforming into a museum, expanding exhibit space, adding new restrooms, and upgrading the elevator
@ragtowneIf people knew the truth about him...there would be NO memorial.
@anthony-ju6qoWhat is the function of that basement? Why not just stabilize the ground or build a foundation to put the memorial on?
@jorisstrickxMount Rushmore like to see whats on the side of the Lincoln head theres a stairs there and they have a scrole that no one has seen
@randyloveFort Knox
@jperez7893Now go into the Sphinx.
There's a hidden temple under it's paws
28 ft. Not 38
@loriern1I wonder why that basement even exists..?
@ultraali453Grants tomb us beneath the Lincoln memorial
@FredSherman-k7lWhy the Lincoln Memorial look more like a greek temple?
@leasebergfladstad1670:20 There I am Gary!
@coledakers6127They are renovating the memorial now and cleaning it up. There will be a museum open to the public in the basement area around 2025. See it again then! The columns and marble is being cleaned now. Looking great!
@kitburns1665Nice. But you woundnt destroy stalactites in a cave. Why do it at a national memorial?
@dunebuggy1286Abraham Lincoln was ANTI BLACK just like the rest of those EVIL white supremacists in his time and NOTHING has changed today
@user-fq4jo7tw5kImpossible to watch with that creepy kid jumping around and screaming.
@valiantredneck0:38. Voila! The “secret” basement is no longer a secret.
