Our Persian Cat, Dusty, was diagnosed in January. My mother had just gone on hospice care and I felt like I was losing my two best friends at once. Dusty went down very quickly after his diagnosis. The vet had put him on steroids to help him. He peacefully passed the night before my Mom's funeral. We buried them both on the same day. Dusty had always been a picky eater, and we had him at the vet for regular checkups and blood work. The scan is what discovered his cancer. I had him eleven years and will always be grateful for the time we had together. I hope all of our cats are waiting for us at the rainbow bridge. It's so hard to loose your best pal.

My cat was still doing crazy zoomies at xmas, then she started to miss the mark when jumping and would continue to vomit, the appetite started to lessen and lessen in a matter of weeks! The vet did bloods and scans and found high grade lymphoma and masses in her intestines, stomach, kidney areas! She was 14 yr old first fur baby I rescued at two weeks old from a woodshed! After she stopped eating and drinking and walking, and went from her normal 3.2 kg to 2 kg I made the choice to end her suffering and start mine in earnest! Oreo my little bean, born with a diaphragmatic hernia ( her stomach was situated up in her chest cavity that we only found in a yr ago) had outlasted our 6 fur dogs and 2 of her fur stray sisters, leaving her 3 remaining sisters in a pickle wondering where she has gone! I’m sure they have an idea of what’s happened as the vet came to the house to help her to the cat rainbow! The fur babys smelt her and ran away as they can do! I cant get used to seeing my little girls name and photo on a box ! Oh how she’s changed my life my kids lives! Oreo, Ozzie my little bean!

Vets have really, really changed. Over the years. I take my cats into the vet constantly. No better off than when I got there.Theres no empathy, There's no anything I had to put my cat down and I was Devastate.
and crying, and not 1 person would even look at me When I was there, they walked past me like I wasn't even there. I stood in the hall and was bawling. My eyes out as people just walked right past me. Not asking me one question. I told them here's my credit card I'm leaving. It was an awful experience. I can't believe the way people treat people today

What if you have vets in your area that are absolutely useless

I would encourage you to change your language on the “make excuses” part. I worked in the veterinary field for 3 years and many owners don’t know that vomiting isn’t normal. Most people assume that cats are finicky, eat too quickly, or have hairballs and throw up a lot. A lot of owners don’t have the medical knowledge that you have and are just unaware.

We just find out now that my cat has intestinal lymphoma 😔 the vet said he can have a chemo but not 100% he will survive 😢 he was 7kg down to 4kg 😭 its difficult for us to see our baby cat have a cancer, he still young 4 years old 😖 we don’t know how long he will live 😔 pray for my cat we love him so much ❤

My cat stopped eating much so we took her to the ER ASAP. We found out she has this, we are lucky we caught on fast!

My cat Sam was a very gassy cat and at 7 he lost weight and found a massive tumor . Had him operated on the vet was honest and told us it was in the intestines and lymph nodes . He told us at that point it was best to put him to sleep . He buried with my wife’s pony and her dads horse . He’s getting a sequoia plated on his grave .

Doctor today my 11 month old Male Persian Cat got diagnosed with a Intestinal tumour through an Ultrasound.
He has lost almost 1Kg weight in last 15 days.
Here in India we don't have many treatment options available especially Chemotherapy for Cats.
Doctor kindly tell about the Chemotherapy medications which can give new life to my little kitty.

Hi, whilst I appreciate the knowledge you share, it is not backed up by the experience of ANY veterinary oncologist I have spoken to. You are responsible for giving what I’m told is unrealistic and false advice/hope to vulnerable people coping with a dreadful experience with their beloved cats/pets longevity, based on cherry picked anecdotal case histories.

As such, the questionable information you share, and the platform you choose to air it on has to be interpreted as one thing: narcissism. Pure and simple.

I want to bring up something someone else said -- and I am a little disappointed you didn't respond to them -- But my vet was actually the one that told me my cat's WEEKLY vomits were normal. Pet owners can't make excuses for things they do not understand. I feel that was irresponsible of you to not even address it in the comments. I thought for 4 YEARS that my cat's constant vomiting was normal BECAUSE my vet said it was.

What are your thoughts? Can you address this?

Thank you for making these videos. My cat suddenly started vomiting on an empty stomach almost every night nearly a year ago, and it was blamed on everything from hairballs to excess stomach acid to bilious vomiting. They even did an ultrasound.

Last month he started vomiting blood and another ultrasound revealed a large mass in his stomach. Diagnosed as lymphoma today. They say it could respond well to treatment, but hopefully it isn’t too late with such a large mass.

It's good to know all the symptoms and how it's determined if it's high grade or low grade, but you know that not addressing your cats vomiting immediately could end up taking their life is a hard pill to swallow. I have to agree with the other commenter about veterinarians not taking it seriously. You as a veterinarian needs to take ownership and start encouraging your colleagues to take it as seriously as the owners do because when we take our time money and effort to bring a frightened and sick cat to the vet, we expect those symptoms to be taken seriously. And if you know the chronic vomiting is a sign of lymphoma than you ought to be doing the tests to rule it out instead of waiting until the last minute when there's really nothing that can be done!

I hope someone can give opinion. For how many years do you think a senior cat can live with intestinal Lymphoma (if that’s what they have ) after diarrhea starts, and no chemotherapy/just steroids? At age 14 1/2 my Chausie started having diarrhea…… the Vet said “IBS” because cats usually are allergic to chicken. He switched to Selective protein rabbit, monthly got depo-Medrol and B-12 injections $$$ for 3 years. Last year Got new doctor, and changed to prednisolone 1/2 tab and a chicken fiber response…….; He’s been loosing weight, turned 18 in May, prednisolone not working so it was increased, then he lost so much weight and lost appetite I thought he was gonna die. Gave fluids, bloodwork labs all”surprisingly normal” poop and urine cultures normal. After a day of not eating, I force fed a little organic Turkey baby food, his appetite slowly came back ate that for a few days, controlled watery diarrhea with Diagel, now he is eating the wilderness cat food morsels without Carrageenan and walking around looking in fridge like usual. No doctor Ever mentioned Intestinal Lymphoma can look like IBS or cause IBS. They just tell me that cancer can only be confirmed with Biopsy, but he’s too old for that. ……I’m waiting for a gut cleanse fecal transplant product to treat him as a last resort. ….. I suppose it can only really help if he just has IBS. So back to original question….. sigh. Thank you for your time if you read this whole comment; i know you must be dealing with pussy cat stuff too.

My 11 yr old cat was diagnosed with small cell last Monday. 😞❤️

my 6 year old cat was diagnosed with GI large cell lymphoma last month. she has been on the most aggressive chemotherapy ever since. yesterday we got the news that the mass in the intestine has fully disappeared! the mass was around 7cm long and she was previously 5.5kg and dropped to 3kg within a few weeks. she is now 4kg and has had no symptoms, eating well, playing, running around. still on chemotherapy for 4 more months, but we hope our baby can stay with us for longer.

please take your animals to the vets if they show symptoms, even if you think it may not be lymphoma, it can be. it is best to catch it sooner than later. praying for everyone who is at this video for the same reason i am. i wish you all and your furbabies the best ❤️❤️

Praying to God for all of these precious animals. Everything must come to an end one day, I just hope every one watching this video knows their kitty will be okay. God loves all of us. I pray for my cat Olivia now as she has a growth on her chest. Her 2 litter mates give her their food. Love keeps us alive.

Lymphoma is brutal

My cat is 10year old and hás been vomiting with some frequence. Vet found a mass on the stomach. Is eating normal i guess and hes been gaining some weight. We are waiting with the vet To make a decision. Some days he looks good and some days hes too much quiet. Hope he is not in pain. Hes been doing treatment with injections

This video makes a lot of sense in hindsight and I could not recommend enough the advice of considering it abnormal if your cat vomits more than 1-2 times every month and get it examined by a vet.

My 2-year baby cat Purrcella developed acute lymphoma and within a few days of the first sign, her condition deteriorated significantly to the extent that I had to put her down. It started out with a severe UTI, and later manifested as weight loss, and acute anemia by the time it was diagnosed, the disease was in a late stage and she was beyond the stage of being saved.

She was completely normal for months, including her weight and activity, and the only thing I see in hindsight as a sign was vomiting every 1-2 weeks which I thought was her eating too fast as she often used to eat too fast. This was however the only sign and the vet had not seen it as significant enough as there was no other symptom. Unfortunately, in the late stages of lymphoma, she was vomiting very aggressively apart from other signs of organ failure like fever, UTI, and severe anemia. Her vomiting reflex during her last time was so strong that she used to discharge waste during vomiting.

You wouldn’t believe how much a cat will vomit when treating obstipation with only 40mg Depomedrol injections. I cleaned up buckets of vomit.

Our cat was diagnosed in Oct 2021 after VDI Labs screening, then biopsies. My Vet has an exclusive Feline practice and has 25+ years experience. Oncology is one of her specialties. Our cat is now on Chlorambucil/prednisolone. Her weight is back up and her routine labs look good. Needless to say, this experienced vet and treatment comes at cost.

My cat off 6 years recently was put down cause off intestine cancer, he wouldn't eat and went from 8kgs to 3.3kgs in 2 weeks. He was hopeless and wouldn't look me in the eyes, I was looking through this commensection 2 weeks ago crying cause I was afraid that this would happen to my cat, and it did. He was there for me in all the hard moments and if you're going through something like this right now I want you to know that its gonna be hard, but its gonna be okay after a little while. Much love

My little guy, Taro, was adopted bout 1.5 yrs ago from the pound. He was a measley 6 lbs cat who the pound had said was about 1 yr old. He would have a hard time keeping any food or water down, diarrhea, and lethargic. Yet he was vocal, attentive and so, so sweet. When I took him to the vet, he had abnormally high white blood cell count. Turns out, he was a senior kitty, at least 10+ yrs old and has cancer of the lymphocytes. 😞

We did chemotherapy, tests, steroids, I took out loans... And now, chemo is not working and he is on palliative care. I now weigh the decision to euthanize or to wait until he can no longer take it. What is the right decision? Is it selfish of me to try my best to keep him alive? Or would it be better to let him pass comfortably? Sigh... He is an affectionate buddy who fills my days with his talkative meows. He loves it when I get chicken strips and give him pieces free of seasoning. So the thought of letting him pass never occured to me till now. Is it up to me to make that decision for him? Argh...

My cat was diagnosed qoth large t cell lymphoma in January 2019. He showed signs of IBD since I adopted him in 2016-vomitting, diarrhea etc. I fought with him for the past 2 and a half years with surgery and hollistic supplements which I had to stop last year due to financial constraints. His cancer started coming back late last year and I sadly had to put him to sleep on Tuesday. He was just too tired. Huge loss in weight even with a huge appetite, over active pooping outsode of the box. I am really cut up about the decision to put him to sleep but the vet advised that it was a battle that we couldn't win

Trying to figure out what’s wrong with my cat right now, he’s kinda getting the same symptoms his sister had save for the bladder stone which we thought is what killed her in may, however now we are not sure.

These videos are confusing. Way too optimistic about large cell lymphoma. every case is different. The only reason I am watching these videos is because my vet spent very little time with me explaining it and made it sound like treatment is not an option.

Your videos may be very informative, but I can't watch them because you are too cheerful about serious health problems with our beloved cats.

My cat was 'diagnosed' with lymphoma a few days ago by the emergency vet. She said she's 99% sure but she isn't an oncologist and said I would need a biopsy/see a specialist and that the other cause could be FLV (I think it was) but he's only 11 as of April 5th and she doesn't see it happen with cats his age, often.

He has large lymph nodes, thickened intestines and fluid in his abdomen. He's been losing weight gradually for a year but all of a sudden it seemed he became 7 lbs. He had chronic diarrhea but no longer has that after switching his food and he hasn't been vomited recently either. His weight, being very picky with food and refusing to eat often, and lethargy are his current symptoms.

I have an appt to see an actual oncologist, soon, but also don't want to just give up on him. I'm hoping that doctor will be accurate in whether radiation or chemo are an option. The first one said I should make arrangements to put him to sleep...I'm kind of horrified that she would even say that without even being an expert?

Terrible disease . Cancer is no joke whether it be humans or animals . I’ve lost one dog to lymphoma and now one cat to gatro intestinal lymphoma . I watch it shrink my cat within months to skin and bones . Vomiting was the first sign and weight loss . I put my boy down today and it’s devastating. Prednisone did nothing for it was already to far along . Prayers for everyone who has gone through this with there cats or dogs .

lymphoma cancer? My vet said intestinal cancer, with a mass wrapped around her intestines. She seems to have the symptoms that are mentioned here. Because of the location, they said the kemo won't work, and surgery will not either.
