Love your channel. Firstly i never say i like anything unless it's fully warranted. I just downloaded Spotify lossless after having Amazon music unlimited, tidal as well. The new Spotify lossless sounds FAR better on my large klipsch or mission speakers running bi wired off a yamaha amp, also my krk studio speakers have never sounded better off my focusrite. Subtle nuances are definitely more audible than on the other two streaming platforms. I don't care about specifics, I've a b vs cd's I own and Spotify has won hands down every single time regardless of genre. Huge fan. Getting rid of Amazon and tidal today. The fact it works flawlessly around the house on anything is just a bonus. Huge fan of the native Spotify Linux app. Plays absolutely sensational. Music sounds dead clear and loud.

i know i’m a heathen but i tested out the lossless with bluetooth headphones and it was SPECTACULAR!!! i’m not an audiophile or every really worried about sound quality, i just listen to a lot of music. safe to say i was able to detect an extreme, yet also hidden a bit by the bluetooth, difference. i swear idiek if i’m trippin or what but i actually started tweaking at the difference! I WAS BLOWN AWAY!! kicking and giggling, i was overcometh with the feelings the music was bringing to my soul! it sounded so crisp and clean eeeekkkkk 🥰🥰

can i download my songs in high but stream them in lossless when on wifi? it would be insane to have my whole playlist downloaded in lossless

The only reason why I still have Spotify is because of all the playlists I have with them. But maybe I should switch to Apple Music and move on? 🤷🏻‍♂️😏🫩

I mainly listen to vinyls with my vintage stereo setup. I use spotify mostly when on the road. However, I started using spotify lossless with LDAC Bluedtooth and the sound is very good! I noticed better mids and highs as soon as I selected the lossless option. I have not tried Spotify on a PC or other lossless platforms. I compared the Spotify lossless autio to CD with 32bit DAC and they sound is very similar! The only platfrom that still sounds diffedrent (better to my ears) is the vinyls! We need to consider that there are a ton of variables with each experience such as the quality of the cartridge on the record player or the quality of the DAC on the CD player. All in all, there is a big push to higher quality listening experience and the digital and analog are starting to sound very similar in my personal opinin!

If anyone is concerned that Spotify lossless is significantly inferior to other services, I would strongly recommend they do their own research into the proportion of people who have the ability to hear the difference.

Just a little comment: 24 bits 44.1kHz is not CD quality, it's 256 better, as CD Quality is 16 bits / 44.1Khz.

Sennheiser momentum 4 has a btd dongle 600 which can output aptx adaptive 24 bit 96khz is that fine on bluetooth?

I mean. I'm gonna use it because i have unlimited internet at home. But that's about it. I'm not even sure it makes a difference with my LDAC headphones anyway. And i don't listen on my production hardware. So it honestly doesn't really make much of a difference for me

If our headphone is compatible with the Aptx/Aptx HD Bluetooth codexs, normally we shouldn't have the same audio sensation as when listening to music in CD quality, whether wired or with a physical CD no?

Tidal and Qobuz are not supported by Google speaker as the go to for playing music by request through the Google assistant like spotify and YouTube music is. I think Spotify would be the best to use in app interface and music selection. But the others are catching up. But you can't use spotify on third party bit perfect DAC media players. So audiophiles won't be using Spotify for their primary listening. But Spotify does seem to be the default go to for everybody else. That is what the others are trying change (if they can).

For use on an iPhone with AirPods at the gym is the bandwidth worth it? I'm already a premium subscriber and not an audiophile but I was disappointed in the quality of Spotify compared to YouTube music on this same gym device setup. I just don't want to tank my data, although it's unlimited they'll throttle me at a certain point I'm sure.

I mean it sounds a bit better on my anker soundcore q45 bluetooth headphones with ldac enabled. The most of a quality change i heard was on pc tho with setting the windows soundmixer from 24bits 48,1khz to 44,1khz and wired it up to my stereo amplifier.

Artist with less then 1000+ streams per month don’t get payed at all. That is 83% of all artists on Spotify that don’t get any money. Ek also serves as Helsing's chairman and believes these AI-driven technologies should be applied to war machines. Artist money goes to war. Spotify must be boycotted! Using wired headphones, I can’t hear any difference between very low and lossless. On my phone, maybe there’s a slight difference, but that could just be placebo. For me, nothing changed. And like all the stuff you linked in your description. I am a basic spotify user, i wonder why EVERYONE wanted it so bad when nearly no one will benefit from it.

Great stuff! I'm a 68 year old hi fi nut and I'm easy to please. I have a Wiim Mini plugged into a Schiit Audio Modi3 and use Amazon music. I control it with an Alexa and never have to touch a phone or tablet.

Personally, I wouldn't use any streaming, but it has nothing to do with quality. Spotify is now creating AI music, making up some artist's name to slap on the song and pulling in all the money for it. This pushes legitimate artists farther down the discovery list. Streaming is a dirty business AFAIK. Not only that, but they pay artists crap. 5 grand for a million listens? I'm too lazy to do the math, but it's gonna be chicken feed.

They can pump out DSD quality and I still won't pay them. Not judging anyone who does. All my kids and grandkids have accounts. I simply won't be part of it.

So I get it Lossless on my Spotify app through my iPhone but don’t think it works through my AppleTV running through my Sonos.

I've notice a very big difference the quality on my phone listening in my car and my headphones are amazing. I have a s25 edge

I tried deezer for the lossless, it was better but omg that app and the library is one of the worst I've ever used.

Horrible there's a lot of bands that are 24 bit on other streaming services but not on Spotify it's horrible

I ditched Spotify years ago I don’t condone and support trashy spineless over greedy shameful companies who abuse musicians and subscribers as bad as they do. They will give you the bare minimum low level of so called lossless codex streaming. Not all codex’s are equal despite it being CD quality…utter gutter garbage pile of pooh…They can do one.
