Nice video, thank you. Can you please direct me to the calculations used to determine the property taxes for homes in Bexar County? What calculation(s) does the assessors office use to calculate home property taxes? Why are the property taxes so expensive in Texas? Thank you.

Hey, enjoyed the narration in the information, but the music is very distracting. Maybe you could lower it a little bit. Just a suggestion.

The cost of living here is outrageous. Moved here 2 years ago and food is really expensive compared to Michigan where I lived. Gas is really cheap though compared to other states I have traveled and rent is high too. If you can survive our summers then you will be ok.😂

Stay away from South SA (the trash district) and stay away from (North West SA) Alamo Ranch area 1604 & Culebra. The problem with Alamo Ranch is there is only ONE way in and out for a LOT of new homes. The hoods are planned like trees. You cannot leave but the original way you came in. Every road is a branch leading you to a dead end. There is no exiting out the backside like well planned cities. You and all your neighbors get to battle the traffic on Alamo Ranch Parkway, Culebra, Shaenfield, or Bandera towards the 1604 LOOP. The Alamo Ranch shopping center moves like frozen Molases. Even though what I need is right there. I drive across town to avoid he choke. The main problem is the poorly engineered, short timing of the green light allowing people to leave Alamo Ranch (on Culebra) heading toward the 1604 and the lack of effective civil planning in this area. San Antonio in general has the WORST road system I have experienced. Try driving from north to south not using a highway. This can't be done. What's up with frontage roads? The place I need is across the street, but I have to go 3 miles to get there. you make a right, go to the u turn , about a mile or so down the road then go back. but to the opposite side of the road. The roads here are like a bowl of spaghetti. That's what you get when you follow cow paths for your roads. Look at LA & OC Ca, Well planned grid squares easy to navigate. Easy on and off the highway.
AND San Antonio has the WORST DRIVERS. You pay more in auto insurance because of them. I was nearly killed in a motorcycle crash by an ignorant & impatient (Mexican) kid driving his parents' car. That ruined my life permanently and put me in the hospital for 5 months. for nearly dyeing, I only received $50k (policy limit in TX) San Antonio is a SWEAT BOX of heat with NOTHING to do outside your home. I am NOT stuck here. I have tried it for 3 years. I am retired and plan moving to AZ ASAP. It's not the heat, it's the humidity that makes it so hard. Summer or Winter you will lose power occasionally. I bought a generator for the house. Every acre of land is owned. No public land to escape to and play on. BTW There is a Wal-Mart behind a Lowes nearby. You can throw a foot-ball to the other parking lot, but to drive there is over 3 miles in squiggly roads poorly designed, They could not put in an easement to the two properties. Welcome To San Antonio.

I’m new to San Antonio. Moved from Las Vegas, NV. Everything went so fast. Look at homes in April and found our 🏡 and gave earnest money. Put our home in Las Vegas on the market and it sold in 2 weeks. I’m adjusting.

Warning: Southern Texas drought happening & they are at a level 4. Summers are 5 mos out of the year & have pizza oven temperatures. Skin cancer hours are from 10am to 4pm. If you love sitting in traffic due to road construction, this area is for you. Hill Country has no soil, just rock, desert like. Deer eat everything & breed like rats. Houses come in brown, tan, beige & blah. Crime is up due to influx of illegals, beware.

We live in Adkins which is close to La Vernia and somewhat close to Floresville. Half of our subdivision has Lavernia schools and the rest Floresville schools, great neighborhood with 1 to 3 acre wooded lots and nice custom homes. I don’t see anyone covering this area. Most homes are 650k and up.

Love this video ! I like how you did a Birds Eye view of the entire area. I moved away in 2020 (military) and would like to move back after “retirement” . My wife and her family are also from area… Personally I love the area north of 1604 I.e. hill country, spring branch, Bourne, Canyon Lake, etc. I don’t care too much for the downtown area. I am concerned with growth and post 2030 the hill country will be suburbs country 😅
